Big Boi – ‘Sumthin’s Gotta Give (ft. Mary J. Blige)’ Video
Outkast’s Big Boi is currently prepping his 2nd solo LP,’ Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty’, for an October release. The video for the set’s first single ‘Sumthin’s Gotta Give’. I’m liking the Mary J. Blige assisted song and accompanying vid too. John Legend, actor Hill Harper and DJ Drama all make cameos.
What do you think of the song / video?

I just feel like something else with more mass appeal would have been a smarter choice for a first single. I don’t think this song is going to have people ready to go get the album just yet.

to Aaron Michael, the purpose of this song as the first single was not for album sales, it's to send a message to people that have the mindframe of "my vote doesn't matter". It's to those that haven't registered to vote yet. It's for those that haven't been following the speeches or for those that aren't really interested in the long speeches. Sad but true, music will reach a part of the community that isn't aware of the campaign. I love the song and the message within it. Lots of artists are coming forward and trying to play their role as a role model and speak on the campaign for presidency. I love that about hip hop & music in general.
