Alicia Keys & Jack White – ‘Another Way To Die’ Video

The video for Alicia Keys and Jack White’s (of the White Stripes’) collaboration for the new Bond movie ‘Quantum of The Solace’ – ‘Another Way To Die’ premiered just moments ago on Yahoo Music. I’m still not big on the song, something the so-so video did little to change. Though decent, I can’t help feel a little short-changed by the ‘we are so blatantly standing in front of a green screen’ effects. I mean, honestly now…

I really don’t think the song and the video are that bad. I mean, what did u expect the song to song like? BTW, I thought Alicia looked good in the video.

sam, i like you, but why the hell do you “speak” (type sentences) the way you do… i mean, i dunno. every obviously speaks/types/thinks a certain way.. but the way you type just seems to me that you’re trying to be all “prim and proper” and its really, actually… uncomfortable. its like youre not human. STOP speaking so damn proper! use a curse word,… i dunno. you just dont seem “normal”

i probably make no sense. but whatever.

Um…. Sam is in the UK, it’s probably alittle different, not to mention that it would be unproffessional to cuss….

Anyway, I didn’t really care for the song or video either. I completely agree with what he said. But I do think she looked pretty cool.

i’m sorry but Alicia don’t have that rock swagger to pull this shit off. I could see rihanna pulling this shit off that type of song just fits her voice

looks great. I don’t think we needed another lets pretend to be spies video and have jack and alicia chase each other with guns. the desert setting was nice. and you can’t do all those cool movements in REAL sand. duh.

The video was boring. I’m still not sold on the song either. I think it’s the vocals that I’m not feeling. Pink and Steve Tyler or Bono probably would have been a better fit for this song.

Im still trying to figure out why Alicia got this. Amy Wino or Beyonce would have done a better job, even Rihanna whom i hate, could have done better.

I would like it but the chorus just wasn’t working for me. Some off points in there. I wouldn’t want Rihanna as the lead singer though the rock edge would have definitely fit her there. But I liked the song, just me and the chorus were not rocking together.

ITS THE CHORUS THAT KILLS THIS SONG. BECAUSE IT ISNT THAT BAD OF A SONG BUT THE CHORUS SOUNDS HORRID AND COULD HAVE BEEN SONG DIFFERENTLY OR WRITTEN BETTER

I think the only problem with this song and video is that it isn’t what people were expecting…well I say get over it and take it for what it is. I don’t know about anyone else but I am tired of all the cookie cutter pop music all the vocoder action and the overly simplified melodies. It’s a cool song.
