MTV VMA Update; T.I, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Kanye

A star-studded press conference for this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards took place today at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California. There it was announced that:

* Christina Aguilera will perform her new single ‘Keeps Getting Better’, from her forthcoming best-of collection of the same title (due November 10th in the UK and a day later in the US). Speaking on what to expect from her showing, Aguilera said: “You’re going to get a first look and a first listen at my new image and my new sound,” she said. “The last album, the style and sound was about vintage glam — this one is all about the future.”

* T.I. confirmed that he will, indeed, be performing new single ‘Live Your Life’ with Rihanna at the show.

* Kanye West will be closing the show.

The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards take place this Sunday (September 7th) from the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California. {Source}

i am super excited to see Christina do her thing…..but other then that…blah…if bee aint there performing i will be highly upset!

by the way i heart kanye and i heard he was on bey’s first single soooooooo maybe thats what he’ll be performing….it really doesnt matter though i love ye and it would be cool for them to perform swagger like us….that would shut it allllllllllllllllll the way down

Good to see, Christina. I’m glad she will be doing some of her old stuff. Can’t wait to see RiRi murk the competition with Disturbia. T.I., eh, maybe.

GEEKED about Christina, i wanna see REAL talent again, for the past year i’ve been stuck with these so so girls like rhianna,fergie,etc. im glad shes coming with a new fresh sound.

People need to realize there will def be at least 2 more urban type artists.. lol. or maybe this year there will be more rockish performances.. but i think there will def be more ppl than just them. but i’m very very excited for xtina!!

woohoo christina aguilera!! thank god her track hasn’t leaked yet. she’ practically one of the few artists whose tracks NEVER get leaked or leaked wayy before it’s released.

and i can’t believe beyonce isn’t performing. i’m really hoping it’s a surprise performance!! that’ll be really really interesting..

and i’m happy that britney will be opening the whole thing.. not performing but at least we’ll get to see the new britney.

Kanye will be closing the show with his song Graduation and then will be bringing out a special guest. I wont say who but its someone who will be releasing an album at the end of this year
