Pop superstar Janet Jackson sent fans into a frenzy Friday, with the radio premiere of new single ‘Nothing’, the lead song from the ‘Why Did I Get Married Too’ soundtrack.
Jackson, 43, looks set to further please her legion of supporters with the video for the ballad, which is reportedly set to be shot next week (March 24th). As at writing, no further information is available about the shoot.

After a tumultuous 2009, it’s great to see Janet getting back into the swing of things with her career. ‘Nothing’ is an awesome track, and does quite the job of re-affirming her musical relevancy, hence a video (though likely to be used mainly to promote the movie) is definitely welcomed.
That said, I’m really eager to see her make a big splash with her forthcoming new LP (her first as part of her new deal with Interscope Records). A killer (uptempo) first single is a must.

I agree that a killer uptempo is what Janet needs…Kinda wishing she wouldn’t do a video but perhaps it will be just a few head shots interspersed with clips from the movie.
Still have my fingers crossed for a successful 2010 for Ms. Jackson, though….

OMG!!! I’m so excited, I just need for INTERSCOPE to treat her like royalty, they have some great artists on their label and some… well.. wack ones.. and they get great promo, so um I’m expecting y’all to stand by my girl, she made y’all lot’s of money with CONTROL and RHYTHM NATION. Please give her the best promo and support because she is one great artist, no need for her to be neglected like ISLAND DEF JAM neglected her. We must not have another great album go un-supported. While other albums are being supported? and some of them aren’t even the best? I say we stand by miss JANET and treat her liek the QUEN she is. <3 Thank You and mmmMuah*
