The-Dream is planning a summer release for his new album, ‘Love King’, which will hit stores on June 22nd. The album is being preceded by the title track first single which has thus far peaked at #26 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #92 on the Billboard Hot 100. The-Dream’s previous LP, ‘Love vs. Money’, received rave reviews from critics and was ranked at the 8th best album of 2009 by Rolling Stone magazine despite being overlooked at this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony. {Source}

    I thought he couldn’t top his debut but Love vs. Money was an AMAZING album, very inspiring. I hope his next album (which is being released on my BIRTHDAY!!! 🙂 will be great. I don’t like the very single too much (but that’s not saying much because I always dislike the first singles from his album) but I like it much better than the previous picked “Hit It On The Road”.

    I just realized how much Trent really likes The Dream!

    “Love vs. Money” was aight. It wasn’t the best R&B album of 09, but I do agree that it should’ve gotten at least one Grammy nomination. Could have taken Trey Songz’s spot for “Best Contemporary R&B Album.”
