Prince isn’t on the same level as MJ, as far as record sells. Bey and Kelly would be on the same level as their counterparts. I must be the oldest one on this board, because I remember when there were real artists selling real numbers. I grew up in the era of Michael vs. Modonna, Michael vs. Prince. Michael vs. Janet. Janet vs. Madonna. And Whitney Houston tapping into each fanbase because she had that voice. Those were real competitions. Each artists were selling 20-40 million copies worldwide when an album hit. I don’ t recall Kelly or Beyonce selling those numbers as solo artists. Sorry. Can’t compare the legends to “It girls”.

For me, it’s not about the content of Kelly’s songs whether it be about s** or saving a child; but more so about the way she sounds sometimes and the production..Stole is actually one of my fave songs by her..I liked the production and her overall sound (not to mention the lyrics)..Still in Love With my Ex is another one of my faves and should have been a single.
