Pop diva Kelly Rowland has been laying low as of late, surfacing only to promote her new singles on US radio. That all changed last night when the Destiny’s Child star performed her own concert at the PC Theater in New York’s Tribeca area last night.

It was lacking. The DC medley was just messy. I really think she’d sound her best if she sat down and didn’t “perform”. Kelly doesn’t have the stamina to get past 2 songs. She look great in the catsuit though.

Let’s face it. Kelly is not the urban girl we once knew and loved. She has let Grown Woman, which is a #1 contender, fall through the cracks. Even without promoting that song, it has a solid footing on mediabase and BB, and she keeps overlooking the song in favor of her AC songs. Kelly just doesn’t feel RnB anymore.

I’m literally stanning my butt of over here!! I just can’t believe that this is my Kelly on the stage; this is the Kelly i saw in Destiny’s Child and fell in love with!! Not the timid and shy one that she sometimes bring to the stage!!
I’m proud of her and regardless of how many mistakes they have made this era if they did nothing but make people notice that she has the same talents and is a cut above a lot of the other chicks in the game vocally and performance wise; then they have done their job.

Where is Rose Colored Glasses on this week’s Billboard? Y’all do know the new numbers came out today right? Looking for it…can’t find it…is it even on the dance chart? Nope, not there either. Adult contemporary? No, not there. Pop 100? No, not there. Radio songs? No, not there. Adult Pop Songs? Digital Songs? European Hot 100? Canadian Hot 100? Nope, can’t seem to find it!
Oh wait Commander is #77 on Canadian Hot 100! One country at a time, I guess…
And Grown Woman is STILL in the bottom 50 of R&B…after nine weeks. It rose one place from 56 to 55 LOL…maybe in 54 weeks she’ll be #1 finally!

I liked her stage presence & confidence, her outfits & hair was definitely on point! I think tht hair style should be her signature hair style bcuz it looks really good on her! I wonder why didn’t she perform Grown Ass Woman, Dilemma, the song she sung on DC album by herself, Work, When Love Takes Over? Maybe this isn’t all of it. I even liked her all male dancers. I think tht she has great potential of being a great artist. My advice to Kelly is keep practicing & working hard on trying to dance & sing at the sametime if u r gonna be an artist tht dances. Being tht she comes from the biggest Female group ppl expect her to be Great instead of satisfactory. I’m not saying her moves & stage presence weren’t good bcuz they were great, she just needs to work on her vocals bcuz she sometimes be off key when singing, which is very disturbing. Love ya Kelly I am a fan of your music & I know u r gonna kill it! I’m rooting for u!

I was there!!! She looked amazing!!! and she had so much energy…she was so funny too; she had us laughing so hard! At one point she called a dude to the front and he looked nervous, Kelly was like “touch me” and the dude touched her body!….that moment was super funny! It was my first time seeing her in person. Her body is so sexy…like a model’s body and her face..wow! So beautiful!!! Her skin is lighter than I thought…she had the most perfect skin!!!…we had a great time!!!!

Kelly is all over the place musically, and it’s making my head dizzy. IMO, she needs to find a genre and stick to it. Here I was hoping that Grown Woman and The Commander Remix was going to set the style of her new album, but instead we have, rnb, rock, pop, dance, salsa, theatre, opera, heavy metal, etc. I hope she is not as scattered-brain as this album is going to turn out to be.
She plans to record two albums for her international and urban fans. But let’s be real, Kelly has spent a lot of time overseas, and is simply out of the urban mix now. She should be promoting Grown Woman and Shake Haters Off. Instead, she’s coming up with this bullshizz Rose Colored Glasses and another leak that I can’t even think of now because it was not impactful. Besides Commander, Grown Woman was really reaching for the charts. But Kelly’s scattered-brain tactics caused the public to lose interest.
I’m rooting for Kelly less and less.

I love Kelly to death and she looks good as usual, but when it comes to her performances there’s always something lacking IMO. I love when she performs songs like “When Love Takes Over” and “Commander,” but she should leave that other s*** behind like singing the Destiny’s Child medley. Like the comments above suggest, she should just stick to one genre and I think the dance genre fits her best!!

I absolutely loved this performance, you can check out a better quality on Ali’s blog who was actually there, it includes her rendition of when love takes over which she sang Live..all thru, the next day she also performed in NYC for the walmart soundcheck and all the reviews i read say she killed it…..i am glad kelly is getting h er shine.
