I can honestly say that a lot of Rihanna’s music is phenomenal and the lyrical depth and production of some of her music is better than Beyonce, however, Rihanna doesn’t have the ability to convey the song’s true message because her voice lacks everything besides distinction, whereas Beyonce has the ability to take the song to places that not many other artists can. Lyrically and production wise ONLY, Firebomb and even Russian Roulette >>>>>>> most of Beyonce’s songs but that credit goes to the WRITERS AND PRODUCERS! There is absolutely NO Rihanna song that has ANYTHING on Beyonce’s music vocally or emotionally!
Also, I’m all about performances. If a person can’t perform the song just as good as or better than the studio version then, to me, the whack performance cancels out the greatness of that song done in the studio. ANYONE can go to a studio and sing a great song written by top of the line writers and produced by top of the line producers but only a few can take an average song and make it into an amazing song like Beyonce!
I would give Rihanna WAAAAAAAYYYYYY more credit if she actually wrote (and I mean WROTE) the songs on RR because there are people who aren’t the best singers or dancers but write phenomenally (John Lennon, Kem, Sade just to name a few).

IASF flopped so hard that it was the second best selling album of 2009, in US, according to Billboard. U Mad? It was only behind Taylor’s “Fearless”. And it was the best selling R&B album AGAIN.
These numbers are only what her album sold in US.
In other hands, Rihanna never had a best selling album even in the Top 50 list. Even Ke$ha outsold her.

The new cover looks amazing… But the album won’t be nearly as good as Rated R was. She made a huge development since her first album and I don’t understand why she’s going back now. Rated R was the best, and if Loud is the direction she’s going for now, she won’t be able to do an album as good as Rated R ever again.
