Michael Jackson’s Children Claim That Voice On ‘Michael’ Album Is Not His

Published: Saturday 6th Nov 2010 by Trent

Michael Jackson fans who are eager to purchase his new ‘Michael’ album on December 14th are being fooled. At least that’s what his children and mother are claiming. In an interview on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’, which will air on November 15th, The King of Pop’s family suggested that the voice heard on the new record are not his. Check out all the details of what they had to say below:

Three to five of the 10-12 tracks on Michael, out December 14 on Sony, were allegedly recorded at the New Jersey home of producer Eddie Cascio in 2007, when Michael and his children stayed there for four months working on remixes for the 25th-anniversary reissue of Thriller. Michael’s son, Prince Michael, said this week that none of what he heard recorded then matches what he hears now on Michael, and that he believes the Cascio cuts were recorded posthumously by a Michael soundalike. Prince’s sister, Paris, corroborated these claims–as did Michael’s mother, Katherine, during an Oprah interview. Joe Jackson, Michael’s dad, also protested the songs via a statement by his attorney.

Sony reps, of course, claim they have performed voice-authentication tests with “sound experts” who concluded that the vocals on the album indeed belong to none other than the King Of Pop. The label also issued a teaser preview of one of the Cascio-produced songs, ‘Breaking News’, so that fans could listen to it and judge for themselves. However, since the teaser was almost entirely instrumental, except for a couple yelps in the final seconds, it didn’t really do much to dispel the Jackson clan’s claims. {Source}

Y’all are so late on the news…

…anywho, OF COURSE the so-called “experts” will swear up & down that it’s his voice, after all they hired by the the leeches Sony to say so!!!

I wasn’t born yesterday! More reasons for me to not buy the album…

  2. Mishka November 6, 2010

Go on kiddies! and make Daddy proud!

Those vultures are trying to milk that money but Daddy ain’t raised no fool.

This story seems to be weird. Why do Sony will release an album with the voice of another singer ? Who in the world can imitate MJ’s voice ? Maybe MJ’s family claim this because they are against this projet.

din partea noastra nu prea sunt diferente

  5. Howw November 6, 2010

They are just using all this to hype the project

  6. FUTURESTARdelux November 6, 2010

Maybe it’s true but maybe it’s not i don’t know. MJ’s estate signed the deal with soney and i heard that he left all those songs in his will so… And i imagine Joe will say anything since he isn’t getting a cut of anything MJ related anymore, Katherine always does what Jo says and the Kids probably do what she says.
Maybe it is true though i don’t know… i won’t buy it right away anyway, i’ll wait until it’s released and then check it out for myself.

    R.I.P MJ.

  7. Howw November 6, 2010

Why would an established record label waste so much time and money to release a fake? All this is to hype s*** up.. And it’s working cause bloggers(like this one) are hyping it up.. For all we know they are paying THIS blogger

  8. Forever Michael November 6, 2010

I have seen on Youtube plenty of impersonators who sound almost identical to MJ. These so called “experts” will say anything $ony wants them to say. These money starved greedy low down bastards will do anything to continue to make money off of Michael. Michael let the world know how $ony treated him; therefore, anything MJ related via $ony I cannot support . Proud of MJs 3!!!

Just wished that old walrus wasn’t allowed to be around them.

  9. anoni November 6, 2010

Anything MJ related doesn’t need hype

  10. stars November 6, 2010

It’s not his voice? isnt that a good thing? hahahahhahahaha

  11. True Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ Blue November 6, 2010

    @ Howw:

Suppose the original track wasn’t good enough for release? He hasn’t performed live in years, so we don’t know how his actual singing voice has evolved. So in that case, it would be too damn easy for Sony to get a sound-a-like to re-record the song and pass it off as MJ’s.

And until an independent expert who has nothing to gain by lying says otherwise, I’m not buying those “experts” that are on Sony’s payroll.

    LMAO!!!! AT ALL THESE COMMENTS..

My question is ‘why cant they just let him and his Legacy be’? and stop tryna make more money off him while his not here anymore?????

the industry is wayyyy tooo capital-driven!!!
    RIP MJ

  13. Forever Michael November 6, 2010

$ony will do anything to continue to make money off of MJ. One would be surprised at the depth these low lives would go to make something fake seem authentic. They are aware of some fans desire to boycott $ony and not purchase anything MJ related.

  14. spring November 6, 2010

OMG @FOREVER MICHEAL its as if u know exactly wat i was gonna post LOOOOL

    ur very right too.

  15. Kelly November 6, 2010

WHY DON’T THEY ASK EDDIE CASCIO????????

  16. Tina November 6, 2010

That stems from a tabloid…. tisk tisk

  17. John D November 6, 2010

We know what his voice is like, he recorded thriller 25 at the same time as these tracks so its not like he’s not released anything for ages, he sounded almost identicle to 80’s michael on the revised thriller tracks just a bit deeper tone.

  18. DJ November 6, 2010

The Jackson family is pathetic. Poor Michael. Glad he is not here to see this bunch of idiots.

  19. DJ November 6, 2010

And thatgrapejuice is a big tabloid now.

  20. loveyoumore15 November 6, 2010

$ony deserves nothing from MJ and his family. $ony deserves nothing from MJ fans.

@HOWW sony didnt really waste anything cuz they will get A LOT of money with that CD.

  22. S*** November 7, 2010

    Does it really Matter??

  23. BENJAMIN November 7, 2010

Hmmm, sounds suspicious. Well the kids were there, we weren’t. So I will save further judgment until I hear the full song on Monday.

  24. MJfan November 7, 2010

this whole thing is stupid, anything release by MJJ productions the estate gets the profit, so why the fuss, if it’s fake or not, mj kids get the money.

mj private speaking voice was actually deeper and masculine compared to his public speaking voice.

during the hoopla of this is it, joe and latoya said that there were body doubles and that it was mj during the film, which didn’t make any sense, beause mj didn’t do alot of dancing and the smooth criminal sequence, the running scene was probably a double, mj was 50 and not in his 20s, like the bad era. or maybe when he was on the cherry-picker that was a double. but who cares? then latoya came out, and said that mj didn’t really dance during rehersals. But, then others working with mj said that he was actually practicing at a different studio by himself, and only practiced with the dancers during the last part of rehearsals.

This doesn’t make any sense, it was reported that mj left over 100 songs for his children estate, now this is false.

I’d say just sue Sony to block the release of this album if it’s fake. And leave this matter alone.

And why are the children being interviewed anyway?, I thought MJ wanted his kids away from the public and media? so why are they out in the open now? I will watch their interview, but I’d rather hear from the women he was dating or the bodyguards that knew him on a personal level. I’m not interested in his kids saying how wonderful a dad he was, that’s kind of pointless, and takes away from the sacredness of his fatherhood. People close to him should respect the way he raised his kids.

  25. Unitee November 7, 2010

Who knows WHAT’S going on?! But I know ONE thing — they should leave Michael’s legacy ALONE before they RUIN everything! Only MJ knew how to “do” MJ, and NOBODY did it better! R.I.P., baby Mikey.

  26. Carmello November 7, 2010

I’m so sick and tired of this damn label trying to make money off of Sony.

I’m boycotting this, even if it were his real voice. I have all his music, why the hell would you make me buy it again, and not just release these songs on I-tunes.

I believe the Jackson family on this and now I will most def not buy this album.

  27. Brad November 7, 2010

And of course, DJ knows the Jackson family personally.

If you liked Miochael Jackson buy it, if you didn’t – don’t. Quite simple really.

But insuting a lady who is also a great grandmother, who witnessed the slow brutalization of her son over twenty years by a corrup EX-DA and a vicious media, and is now probably just trying to get through the day —- yeah, not so nice.

C’mon DJ, you can do better than that dude..

What do you mean Michael Jackson does not need hype to sell his music. He spent over $30 million on his ‘Bad’ album and protested that Sony did not spend enough to hype his ‘Invincible’ album in 2001, which only sold 7 million globally. He has not had a No1 single for 15 years and prior to his death all of his sales were in decline. The hype surrounding his death improved his sales. He does need hype and a lot of it.

  31. ELLA November 10, 2010

    @TONY

You’re missing the point. Michael Jackson was not the only artist to spend millions on record productions or promotions. He was the BIGGEST music star on the planet. That right there is enough hype. He spent 25 million dollars of HIS own money to produce Invincible. $ONY lied saying it was all “their” money put into it. They refused to promote the album in order to get back the ATV music catalog. Michael wouldn’t budge and then came the trial (coincidence, I think NOT) He doesn’t need hype but OTHERS create controversy and hype around his albums to get people to buy it NOT realizing that MJ’s fan base is loyal and large. As for his posthumous sales, EVERY artist sells more records after they die. Isn’t down to hype but moreso the nostalgia.

Sony-‘All I wanna say is that they don’t really care about us’

Is there anything sacred anymore? It is not that we don’t want to hear what Michael has to offer because we do, I do. But please Sony, I beg you in LOVE, do not insult our intelligence and come out and say that these recordings are ALL Michael’s vocals when they clearly are not. We know this because we know Michael’s voice and we will NOT be puppets for your pockets anymore, especially not on this. This is profit based and it is so obvious due to the timing of the Album Release, days before the big holiday for the Corporate machine? This will definitely boost the economy, we have heard it before.

    WAKE UP TRUE MJ FANS!

I am from the school of Michael and he deserves nothing but the best as he so freely gave to us, his LOVE and perfection. It is ok to use other artists i.e. Ne-yo, Lady Gaga, James Delisco but please be forthcoming and transparent about it. I think that we should come to an agreement and treat this upcoming album as a demo recording for the re-release of the next album with new artists that are approved by the fans. We can work together to honor our beloved King in a proper way. We can do it because it is within us to make it happen ‘the blood inside of you is inside of me; now tell me, can you feel it?:)

Michael made it clear that Sony was not to be trusted, look what they did or did not do with Invincible. Honestly, I thought that was going to be re-released this year, I would buy that first, not this debacle, as is, no way.

Michael still lives within each of us no matter what they try to do with his image. And with that being said, we cannot let them shape the image of him into their dogma in front of our eyes and we idly stand by and let them do it. Question everything people, if we don’t stand for something we will fall for anything. We must stand up as Michael commanded us to do and ‘Make that change, for truth and betterment of humanity through music and Michael’s legacy.

If we are loud, so be it, but please know that that we, through Michael, will be heard.

    rEVOLution is NOW!

    With great LOVE…
