To celebrate the release of his hotly anticipated ‘F.A.M.E’ LP today, R&B/Pop star Chris Brown paid a visit to ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ early this AM.
While some outlets are opting to play the controversial card, we’ll leave you to assess whatever you may have heard in the context of what went down during the actual interview.

Sigh. It really does say something when respected journalists such as Roberts have to resort to manipulative antics to land a story. I mean it was as clear as day that either Roberts (a major supporter of domestic violence charities), GMA’s producers, or both, had an agenda from the outset. For, a very reliable source has confirmed to That Grape Juice that Rihanna questions – as in all Chris Brown interviews – were off-limits; a request the show’s producers were well aware of.
In any case, kudos to Chris for maintaining his composure on camera and ultimately doing what he was there for – promoting his album.

Chris Brown needs to just be prepared to be asked about Rihanna and Rihanna should be prepared to be asked about Chris Brown, that’s the world they live in. It’s the defining moment of their careers, Chris was the aggressor and Rihanna was the victim, so Chris will always get heat. And bringing up Rihanna’s tour sales isn’t going to help Chris Brown at all. Rihanna has still made millions off the GGGB World Tour which went to 30 countries and the LGOE World Tour which went to over 20 countries. Chris has yet to headline a major tour of his own. I’m not really a fan of ether of them, but Chris will never have the respect he was about to get and Rihanna will always get the victim excuse, she’ll never have to put in a lot of effort because of that.

Unfortunately, this is how the media works. Chris will ALWAYS be asked about that incident, just like Janet Jackson is always asked about her brother Michael…who was always asked about the allegations, Tiger Woods will always be asked about his string of adulterous affairs, Michael Vick will always be asked about his animal abuse, etc. etc.

How is robin roberts a bitch, when she was the one who intially interviewed chris and gave him his first major interview on ABC after the incident. She was so good to him in that interview, so this was more like her trying to give him a second chance to say how much he has changed in the 2 years prior. Instead of acting professional and using the opportunity to introduce the world to the new and impove chris, by answering the questions and pointing out all the positives he has done, he proceeded to get nasty and cocky with it, which ultimately ended up with his rage filled acting out to the point of busting windows. You guys can clearly see that Chris is an anger filled individual who keep proving it over and over again on numerous occasions. This is not the first time he has raged and busted out windows. If he can do that to a window, what makes you guys so sure he couldn’t have done the same to rihanna’s face that night. He has a way of hitting things when he is angry. Rihanna just happened to be the target in that car that night. And some of you women try to justify his actions by saying he was provoked. So just because one is provoked they should always react in violence right? And I know in this incident the window didn’t hit him first. Like you guys like to say rihanna must have hit him first.

There’s actually some good advice on here. I know Chris views blogs and he did answer well and held his composure on this show, but HE SHOULD STICK UP FOR HIMSELF EVEN MORE! He should say “You know what; I am here about my album. I have been ridiculed for this situation for years and to tell you the truth, it was no one’s business to begin with so I am going to pass on that question.” If they bring it up again, you know would be a good idea, just say “Okay, thank you for your time, I see that this interview is focusing on negativity and I’m not about that, I’m about positivity, goodbye” and then walk off! It “wastes” money from the label for his appearance, but he has to do what he has to do. Do you know how stupid and bad the reporter would feel if he walked away from him/her. I agree. I might have jumped the gun by posting my novel above, but those were just my thoughts…
I’m TEAM BREEZY, but I cannot side with the people defending his actions (whether confirmed or not). Of course both Chris and Rih want to move on with their lives, but by moving on, that means also that you have to accept what you have done, and realize the seriousness of your mistakes. You can’t just act like it didn’t even happen, and that’s what I fear Chris and some of my fellow Team Breezy members are trying to do. I mean, you see so many other celebrities, like JHud for example, who was asked questions about her family members being killed. Do you guy think she just loves being asked those questions? Of course not! She even teared up in her 20/20 interview, but guess what???She STILL answered the questions and behave in a mature manner. Keifer (sp?) Sutherland has had issues with his DUI’s and his arrests and yesterday on the View he was asked questions about his past and he answered them in a mature fashion. You think he just loved the fact that they talked about his past??? Of course not! Your past, whether good OR bad, is still a part of your journey through your life.

and then changing the background of the site to his album cover. I think Sam, Trent, and Chris need to realize that people are more than capable of making their own opinions on what they see and hear.
My opinion is that during the interview he seemed very high, full of himself, and not able to seize the moment as a good marketing opportunity. Robin “went there” by continuing to ask him questions about Rihanna but as a general consumer I know that people want to know if he is more humble now and not the same immature guy that beat up Rihanna two years ago. He did not disprove that…he just appeared very arrogant and attempted to dodge the questions instead of answering them. A smarter and more mature person would have had more wittier answers and would either answer the questions or professionally explain that they already discussed the topic many times before. Also, Robin is no rookie with interview questions. If Chris’s management did a proper job of non-disclosure then Robin would not have been able to ask those questions so his management did not do a good job either.
The incident after the interview was totally uncalled for. Throwing a fit and breaking a huge window at ABC studios that could have injured lots of people is beyond stupid. Never lose your cool. I’m expecting to see Chris in rehab in the very near future.

@keesha I didn’t believe the story in the beginning, because I watch the show, and Chris was joking and clowing before his interview and even with his interview he change the topic and told people to go buy fame. It seems like a lie because, Chris travels with his management team and his body guard, so why would they let him go off like that? people don’t think. Why Tina didn’t handle the situations? It sounds like media lies. The women on the view said he didn’t break a window or attack anyone. People so easliy to believe and hate on Chris. Its a shame. He is #1 this morning on itunes and has 1# urban song in the country why would he go off and ruin everything that he worked hard for, people need to think sometimes. Its just lies.

Do you people know what a PR stunt is? From a media standpoint, ABC risks being sued if they were to violate and go against a line of questioning that was pre-approved by his handlers/management. Now think about this, he appears to be visably aggitated . . then throws a hissy fit/tantrum back stage the day of his album being released. I just hope that Chris wouldn’t be stupid enough to do that, but some things aren’t adding up. I would think that if he did indeed do it, they would have witnesses who saw it, but there’s just a lot of speculation. And I can’t really trust TMZ. Whether this happened or not, I still support Chris’ music. I’m LOVING this F.A.M.E. album!

Why not just simply answer the questions in a way that deadens the issue to Robin Roberts? This was his chance to truly show that he’s put the issue behind him and that it can’t touch him.
