As has been making rounds across the net, producer/casting director John “Woody” Woodbeck has set the Twitterverse ablaze with mention of music icons Madonna and Janet Jackson honoring pop princess Britney Spears at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The producer said:
If this lineup is legit (which I’m told it is) the tribute to Britney at the VMAs is gonna be insanely EPIC!! Wow! Wow! Wow!

We agree Bey. Hmm…this sounds more like a stan fantasy than a legit line-up. While Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, and Nicki Minaj will all be in attendance, their connections with Britney are well-documented (writing, tourmate, etc) – thusly, making their involvement more believable. But, for pop Queens Madonna and Janet Jackson to tribute Spears, that seems a bit…much. However, even with no official confirmation from MTV, the news has been making headlines all over magazine and blog sites alike (and MTV has yet to dispel the rumors).
Alas, we will all have to tune into the show on August 28th to find out the real lineup. Until then, fans can whet their appetites by seeing Spears’ MTV promo spot here (which interestingly features music from both Madge and Miss Jackson).

Disappear video idea:
Song starts and a black and white hallway with pictures on the wall is blurred in. A spanish guitar is then zoomed in on as a Spanish guy plays the opening of the song. Beyonce then opens the hallway doors and begins singing the first verse while looking at a picture in the hallway. The chorus comes in and the scene sets to Beyonce in a bed and when she looks next to her she sees a dent in the pillow as if someone was next to her.The video then cuts to Beyonce on the beach during the “disappear disappear disappeaaaar” 2nd verse starts. Beyonce walks in the hallway looking at pictures of her and someone but everytime she touches a picture the person disappears from it.The chorus comes again and Beyonce is at the beach looking out into the horizon. She starts twisting in her bed when the part before the bridge comes on “disappear disappear disappeaaaaar” Then at the bridge Beyonce sees someone and she runs towards him(in slow motion) she gets to him and touches him and when she says “Now my love, I’m ready to shooooooow” and then he fades away causing Beyonce to fall on the floor dramatically. The last chorus continues with the dent disappearing from the pillow in Beyonce’s bed and the outro ends with her on the beach again floating away

Janet Jackson to pay tribute is a privilage for Britney because Janet is the first official Mtv Icon. Madonna i can understand because she is pretty much already unoficially dubbed a Pop Godess and has performed with Britney before at Mtv Awards. Placeing Britney in same category with Janet and Madonna is almost disrepectful to music history but if either Janet or Madonna performs, Britney is truly privilaged.
