I am so disappointed…there was little to no choreography in the vid, it was just Kelly Rowland and the Chippendale’s looking sexy. This video was amazing!!WOW!I really loved it.She looks beautiful and sassy and she’s really working it.She looks confident and comfortable in her own skin which is exactly what the song needed to have a good video treatment.It’s great that she had a variety of sets, outifts and scenes.That really made the video look great.Kelly has undeniably stepped her game up and now she really is a great solo act
However, I think it’s too late to save the album.She can get 1 or 2 more radio hits off of the album, but not actually help boost the album sales

F.Y.I to those who saying Kelly copied let me shed a little light on something. I love Beyonce and all but the difference between her copying is the fact that what she copied wasn’t something that the same director she work with has done. So you can’t blame any of that on the director. But either way it goes, Beyonce makes the origional 10x better even though she lacks a lot creativity. Its always effortless.
Someone posted earlier that the same director Kelly worked with for this video directed Livi ( who ever the f*** she is) video. Meaning that the director is the one who lacks origionality because she or he can’t think of anything new. Kell may have not even seen this Livi video, i know never have, so there for Kell is not a copy cat. The director is the blame.
Also I just watched that Livi girl vid and the choreo is not the same or even similar to me. And Kelly’s video is 100x better than that Livi person’s version.

Finally!! It’s about dang time this video premiered. After the first watch, I have to say, I’m disappointed. Maybe it will grow on me, I don’t know. First of all, I hate the hair and makeup. She needs to call whoever she hires to do her hair and makeup for award shows and the X-Factor, because with the bad hair and all that horrible makeup you can’t even tell how gorgeous she is in this video.
And the choreography was lacking. Everytime I hear this song, I want to get up and dance. She should’ve been dancing her behind off for the entire video. I’m talking about epic dancing, not that little Frank Gaston two-step she did for like 30 seconds.
However, as a fan/stan. I hope the visual helps the single and album on the charts.

I’m a bit disappointed.
The video was nice but all that waiting and that’s all they came up with. Even Gaga has bigger productions and still releases the video in no time.

Anywho, the video was cute, Kelly looked amazing! Her body in on point and her skin is flawless! Other than her looking good, nothing much happened. It does say one thing about her, whether it took her 5 LOOONG months to go Platinum with lead single ‘Motivation’ or not, the growth shows that finally people were checking for her NOT because of them feeling sorry for her and wanting to support, but because she released a track that was of quality and was relatable. I’ve had two of the three albums that she has released and I will say that both (Ms. Kelly and Here I Am) show substance. The fact that she was able to get signed to another label after being released of her previous contract with Columbia shows substance. Not a “Proof of Failure.”
-2002 “Simply Deep” – 77K- U.S. First Week, 600K U.S., 2-Million WW. It was released upon DC’s break-up (temporary?) and thus enjoyed from much said sentiment.
2007 “Ms Kelly” – 86K- U.S. First Week, 222K U.S., and JUST 1-Million WW.
2011 “Here I am” – 77K- U.S. First Week; currently, after almost 8-LABORED weeks only a pathetic ‘less-than 170K’ Units moved!
I hate when people reference first week sales, because there are plenty of artist out there who are most def inconsistent with first week sales and go on to have platinum success. The biggest thing about first week sales that get me are when an artist comes in with a bang and then plummets down the next weeks, pushing 70 and 80 percent less of their initial first week sales. On top of that, if your theory is anything to go on, Beyonce would be a non substance herself. ‘I Am Sasha Fierce’ went double platinum in two months where ’4′ has only gone platinum and it’s going on four months since its release. What does that say about her? Is she losing her edge or her credibility?
It’s so funny to me how we can be so critical to an artist when we look at the obvious, BUT we fail to realize the most simplest things when it comes to big name acts like Brittany, Beyonce, Rihanna and Lady Gaga… To me, they too can be looked at as a ‘failing act’ if how we judge is anything to go off of. They all needed big budget videos, short REVEALING outfits, and raunchy moves to gain views on YouTube and push units and make platinum status. All Adele had was solid material, a mic and a decent face and did better than all of them. I’m not even a fan of Adele’s and don’t have her album.

Back to my point, every artist has to set their own pace and granted Kelly hasn’t sold over 170k, all in all you have to remember that we are just on her second single off of the album. It’s like you aren’t even giving her a chance to get things together. But like the music industry today, we are looking for instant results versus the longevity that the artist might sustain. Kelly is setting her own pace. If the record company hasn’t reacted to the album negatively (like we saw with Ciara’s last CD effort) then we shouldn’t be quick to pass judgment.

I like the video, it actually made me enjoy the song a little. I still think another song choice would’ve been better. Otherwise, she looks stunning as always. What I don’t understand is why are these video directors so lazy and uninspired they are copying. It is exactly the same as the video for Livvi Franc. Frame by frame. While Beyonce’s once “vapid and marginal” talents bothered and annoyed, she’s now grown in leaps and bounds. I say this with a heavy heart: I’M NO BEYONCE FAN/SUPPORTER – TRUST!! I ABSOLUTELY LOATH JAY-Z, AND WHAT HE TRIED TO DO TO CHRIS’ CAREER..!! But I have to give her, her props – Beyonce’s the hardest working woman in show business – BAR NONE!!
Kelly Rowland has no recognizable, nor memorable talent(s). She’s as memorable as yesterday’s after-dinner farts, and to be totally honest, as equally annoying. I fail to see the fascination with someone whose time-again proved to be a disappointment both commercially and critically.
To date, she’s only moved ‘less-than’ 180 “Here I am” units. You “Rowdogs” weren’t “motivated” to buy her $10 CD, and you most-assuredly weren’t motivated to buy a concert ticket, costing 3-4-5X as much, to see her. That said, Kelly Rowland shouldn’t have been included in/on Chris’ “F.A.M.E Tour”..!!! Chris, Tyga, ‘Big Sean’ and Tpain did the heavy lifting – Kelly Rowland hitched a free ride and then ate from everyone else’s plate! SHE’S A FUCKING BUM..!!!
Chris, by having her on this tour, has set himself back – by far! Instead of trying to NOW grow his black male demo, he pushed them away, if not spat in their faces by having Kelly Rowland on the tour. Having her included on/in this tour is THE second-worst idea he’s had in the last 3-years. The first was going to that Clive Davis banquet with that …Liar Zero-Talent Hack..!!

I watched Kelly’s video, then, of course I had to watch this Livvi Frank character to see what all the fuss was about and whether or not the copycat claims are true.
They are true. There are two segments in both videos that are exactly the same, the segment in which Kelly (and Livvi) are sitting in Queenly positions on the backs of herculean men, and the segment in which Kelly (and Livvi’s) privacies are covered by what appear to be leather slingshots. There are other similarities; but those two segments are downright dopplegangers.
However, there are also definate differences between the videos. Kelly’s lighting is soft and simple. Livvi’s lighting is bold and flashy. Kelly’s make-up, wardrobe and set colors are warm and earthy. Livvi’s colors are bright (I’m talking crayola inspired). Kelly’s accessorie’s are men, a slinky, and an elephant. Livvi’s are men, a chair, and gargantuan, colorful rubberbands(that she uses as a choreography prop). Kelly’s choreography prop is men. The BIGGEST difference of course, is the artists. In the video, Kelly comes off as a seasoned, sexy, chocolate, wonder woman, while Livvi comes off as a young (but agressive), cute and edgy ingenue(who sounds like Rihanna by the way).
I do think that the director is responsible for all of the similarities and direct repeats, seeing as how the same director is responsible for both videos; but both videos were the director’s concepts. I guess this is what happens when artists allow someone else to determine the treatment and visual concept for their video. Maybe now Kelly will go back to doing her own video treatments and simply hire someone who can bring HER ideas to life in front of a moving camera.
Now, if Kelly begins to scour the net looking for youtube clips to rip-off and claim as her own, THEN we can start comparing her to Beyonce. Until then, Beyonce still holds the world title for being swaggajacker no#1.
As for the video, it’s definitely grown and sexy. Too bad she still has such a young audience. They really don’t need this type of influence. Kelly’s music(production wise) still appeals to the youth, but content wise and image wise, Kelly’s music/brand is not for anyone under the age of 18 (but you KNOW twelve year old’s are running around singing “Motivation”). I understand Kelly is an adult(a thirty year old WOMAN to be exact), so I’m not at all offended by her skin campaign. BUT, if she insists on being sexually suggestive, she needs to begin marketing herself to an older more sophisticated audience. I appreciate the fact that while Kelly can at times be racy with her lyrics and her image, she is not raunchy. The day she becomes raunchy(deplorably disgusting) is the day I stop buying her music. I’m a grown woman and I don’t want to hear or see raunchy. Kid’s however, are easily influenced(not all, but many of them), and again I say, they don’t need THIS type of influence.
