Hot Shots: Kelly Rowland Lets Down Her Hair For Marie Claire

‘Down For Whatever’ diva Kelly Rowland lets her hair down on the dazzling January 2012 cover of Marie Claire UK.  The Texan beauty, who is undoubtedly celebrating her recent Grammy nod for ‘Motivation’, took to the famed magazine to discuss a number of topics including her estranged father, the international release of the acclaimed ‘Here I Am’, and her thoughts on ever having a child.

Hot on the promo tour for the aforementioned set, Rowland received quite the ovation for her rocking BBC 1Xtra Live 2011 performances.  An ovation the starlet should certainly be accustomed to, if nowhere else, on the fashion tip as 2011 has seen the diva in some of her fiercest fashions.

Check below for the latest additions to that coveted wardrobe (thanks, in part, to OMK):

    Wow thiz is great outlook for Kelly i hope it pushes her album n widens her fanbase. There are not many black entertainers that have covered MC UK. The distinctive ones i rmbr in recent times are Bey n Rih. Her profile in d UK is rising big time. She doesnt need xfactor anymore( excpt as a performance platform) she needs to promote promote her next album on both territories big time next year. Another black star is headed to the top (and this one is talented too) !!!!

    @Sam —

    “Here I Am” is NOT even on the latest, most-current Top-100 World CD chart: http://www.mediatraffic.de/albums.htm

    ..Neither here: the Official Top-100 U.K. Album Chart – theofficialcharts(dotcom)/albums-chart/

    Oh! And Kelly Rowland had JUST performed at that B** 1Xtra Live festival; “Rocks”, and “Seasoned Performer” were the accolades TGJ then lay at her feet. Well, here’s T-H-E very latest B** Radio1 chart: b**(dotco)uk/radio1/chart/albums ..Again, “Here I am” is absent.. “AWOL”, if you will! Sam, she’s a permanent fixture on one of T-H-E most-watched U.K. TV entertainment shows. How does one, given THAT, platform NOT then leverage that into a CD on the Top-100 U.K. CD chart? Sam, she’s NOT even on the U.K. Top-40 CD chart…?!

    “Courage”, Sam.. “Courage”…

  16. Toya December 3, 2011

    as for xy and z above… who asked you anything… You searching the charts for her huh? ___/ here’s a comfortable seat!

  17. Girrrl December 3, 2011

    I was gonna drag Kelly but it looks like x y z already scalped her.

    Flop album
    Flop performances
    Flop Grammy nomination (only bc of lil wayne

    Maybe she can release a deluxe version? Oops she already tried that. There really is no hope for her.

    @Toya re: 8:38 am —

    “Who asked you anything?” <–o~0

    Sam did! Sam asked for "my thoughts." And speaking about "comfortable seats," I'm sure you were "comfortably seated" when came time to support your fave. I mean, those numbers DON'T lie: after now, some 14-weeks since "Here I am" is released, it STILL has YET to move 200-K U.S. Retail Units.

    ..And, yet-worse, the now revealed calamity: even after being blessed with a permanent landmark upon the U.K. Pop-culture landscape, as a sitting U.K. X-Factor judge, 30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland couldn't leverage THAT into a spot upon the U.K/World Top-40/100 CD Charts.

    I really don't think you appreciate, nor understand the enormity of this disaster: "HERE I AM" IS 'NO WHERE' ON THE WORLD TOP-100 CD CHART. "HERE I AM" IS NO WHERE ON THE U.K. TOP-40 CD CHART!

    This catastrophe, with utmost certainty, has to sit aside other said global man-made cataclysms:

    1.) Japan's March, 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant meltdown.
    2.) The March 11, 2011 Sendai, Japan 8.9-earthquake that triggered the above mentioned disaster.
    3.) The April, 1986 Chernobyl, Russia Nuclear disaster.
    4.) The "Feb 8th, 2009 Chrianna" sham/urban myth

    If I were you, I'd enjoy what little time left your fave has as a U.K. X-Factor judge. There is ZERO-WAY that she can now remain an X-Factor judge. NO WAY..!!! She's NOW a metastatic tumor: "toxic to-the-touch." X-Factor was ALREADY loosing market share to B**'s "Strictly Come Dancing". If she remains, 'X-Factor' will certainly be.."doomed"..!!

    ..30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland, even after given chance-after-chance-after-chance has proven herself incapable of "delivering". Matthew Knowles long ago knew this, which is precisely why he left her AND Michelle Williams in DC. The American "discretionary spending" public ALSO recognizes this. They've said so, in NO uncertain terms: less-than 200-K U.S. Retail Units Moved after now, some 14-weeks!

    ..Well, now the U.K. "discretionary spending" public have spoken: 30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland is a LOOOOOOOOOSER..!! She's a FFFFFFFFFAILURE..!!

    Expect her now to fall off the radar and into a bottomless obscurity. She now has my blessing to return to her S.Fla/Miami beach, and frolic about with her white/European consorts.

    X,Y,"and Z" — OUT..!!

    wow xyz you are so talented..you seem to know so much about someone you dont like..facts and all..that can only be a talent..
    child boo

  20. Ghetto Fab December 3, 2011

    Kelly continues to snatch leaving all you girls maaaad typing behind your window’s 95. LMAO Have Multiple f****** seats!

  21. lostonez December 3, 2011

    wow she is breathe taking..people keep saying her album flopped which is true but it seems like that flopped album is getting her more gigs n making her a bigger star..on kelly’s 1st & 2nd album she wasn’t talked about this much and remind you her 1st album sold 3 million ww..

  22. X,Y,”and Z” December 3, 2011

    @Chillin re: December 3, 2011 at 11:44 am —

    It doesn’t take much in the way of “talent” to look at a chart, can it? I mean..you look at it, you look for a name. A “name” of an artist and said artist’s CD. No “Differential Equations/Physical Chemistry” needed.

    Take for example: http://www.theofficialcharts.com/albums-chart/ <–That's the up-to-date U.K. Top-100 CD chart. That's 100 (ONE HUNDRED) CDs from the respective artists. Out of that, said ONE HUNDRED, there's NO mention of "Kelly Rowland", nor "Here I am".

    ..The very same can be seen/read on the World Top-40 CD chart: mediatraffic(dotde)/albums.htm <–NOT ONE SINGLE MENTION OF/FOR KELLY ROWLAND, NOR "HERE I AM"!!

    (As I've said. And what'll be soon realized..) 30-something-year-old Kelly Rowland will SOON be replaced on X-Factor U.K. How can ANY sitting judge of talent, then "mentor" or be "fit" to "judge" said talent when she can't even put her CD upon the World CD chart? Or, yet-worse, can't…"motivate" her way onto the U.K. Top-40 CD chart? If she remains on X-Factor, she'll FURTHER diminish the X-Factor brand. If you hadn't noticed, B**'s "Strictly Come Dancing" is currently trending upwards. And, while climbing that upward path, steadily eating into X-Factor viewership/market-share.

    Listen, place yourself in Simon Cowell's shoes. If you were he, what would YOU do? ..EXACTLY..!! X-Factor U.K. is now staffed (the sitting judges) with malfeasant incompetents. A change MUST come – like fast! And if you were her record label, would YOU invest in her CDs? Short of a "serious" '70-30 split' (in favor of the label) in ALL Kelly Rowland/Brand-Kelly "revenue stream(s)" (360-contract) there is absolutely ZERO way you, as a label, can invest in her.. "Cute", "kissing to be clever" smile, nor not, investing in Kelly Rowland is a LOSING venture..!!!

    And what'll prove to itself the final nail in her brand/career's coffin? Well, after given such a international stage, and performing so poorly. Who'll then give her, again, another said chance? Look for 30-someting-year-old Kelly Rowland to now quickly fall into obscurity. She'll "fight it", all the way down. But "obscurity" and career death is now the sentence imposed upon Kelendria Trene Rowland..

    It is so ruled..

    X,Y,"and Z" — OUT..!!
