The last year has seen Kelly Rowland morph into quite the seasoned solo performer. As such, it was only apt that she was tapped as the headliner for this year’s BBC 1Xtra Live festival.
Backed her now-staple troop of male dancers, Rowland rocked the sold-out Brixton Academy with a bevy of her biggest hits, including ‘Motivation’, ‘Lay It On Me’, ‘Like This’, and much more.

When I see this I begin to think she’ll make a quiet good tour if she’d do an international one. I’ll be there anyway! Don’t really know what to think off her latest album cause I think it’s a little bit too much dance and I prefer her RnB/slowjams most. Her first solo-album has always been one of my favourites when I was younger. Good job, Kelly!

I am not evening going to address the hate because what I just saw was greatness. I loved her performance. She is so much more confident, can actually sing & dance, and most of all she enjoyed doing it. This performance was nothing less than excellent. She has finally come into her own. I loved how she rolled through her catalog and did no Destiny’s Child stuff although I love the DC melodies. I am just so proud of Kelly for still pushing and proving why she lasted in the game this long! She oozed with sassiness and sexiness & talent. I am SO PROUD TO BE A KELLY ROWLAND FAN!

Say what u want but I appreciate the fact that kelly is dancing and singing live the entire show! That is rare now. Go Kelly! I think her next album will be the one that actually does well this album was like a buzz builder to really get people talking about her music again, and to me its working.

Jus a thing of knowing which parts to sing and parts not 2 sing. Plus improvise on certain vocal parts, which she did for a few of the songs.
I like watching her come out the shell and gave more dancing so props 4 that.
Do it more Kelly & the results will show.

`i thought the performances were great. I think the nerves and out of wind moments some of yall are talking bout, is related to backing track issues. Some times the song would get 30 seconds ahead of her or the person wasn’t hitting play on cue. This things are very fustrating to deal with as singers. But she handled it like a pro.
This is a disaster. Her facial expressions, her wannabe gangsta is not working. Kelly is not a strong artist on her own hence her flopping in the UK, US and every other place her material is sold at. She is a mess on stage.

I don’t see how some of you hated on Michelle’s ON THE RUN performance which had FAAAAAR superior vocals in it yet praise Kelly because she can shake a mean booty.
I love Kelly, but her vocals were TERRIBLE here. I love Here I Am, but she is not doing it justice by delivering mediocre live vocals.
She can do so much better and that “Motivation” performance in particular was a mess after the dance break. Kelly just gave up singing.

Kell did really good! So proud of her! As far as her album it’s not doing well in the UK bcuz it was already released on ITunes the sametime as the US, the music was already out so why would anyone go out and buy songs they have already heard. It just wasn’t released in hard copies. Next time release the album in the UK 1st then a couple days later release it in the US.
