Are You Going To Buy Teairra Mari’s New Album?

Published: Tuesday 10th Jan 2012 by David

Earlier today, footage of R&B upstart Teairra Mari recording her upcoming album surfaced online, setting the promotional campaign for the project in full motion.

Set to hit stores in coming months, the project’s success- if we’re really going to be honest- could reward  Mari with the stardom and notoriety some say she was robbed of back in 2005.
Or see her follow in the steps of many an R&B belle before her and face a perpetual struggle to convince the world that she is worth paying attention to.

So, as open supporters of Teairra and her cause, we here at TGJ HQ are curios:

Do you intend on buying her album when it comes out and if not- why not?

I think she can definitely make a come back. Her debut album was actually good. She was definitely rob in 2005, I think if jay z kept and molded her she would be star right now.

Team Teirra Marie!! I deffinitely will be checking for her album when it arrives. I think sonically she is in good hands working with Rico. “You Did That” is deff. a winner not sure about a debut single but its a solid track for sure. Stay on your Grind Ms. Marie!

I would like people to stop blaming Jay-Z for the fall out of this chick.

My thing is when you really want something to happen nobody can stop not even Jay-Z or Diddy. Jennfer Lopez was Diddy’s girlfriend but look at her now.

Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga are their very own people, they know what they want to deliver and their labels just have to follow.

Teairra Mari’s new album will find success only if she has a now-or-never attitude. By the second she gets comfortable, she’s out. Same goes to Brandy and Monica.

    Bring your A-game, ladies!

For starters Rico love need to stop making records that sound like motivation and tierra mari needs a new look and a better record deal because him producing the whole album will not be good rico is like a hit or miss producer you might get a hit you might not he lucked up wit kelly rowlands motivation i believe thats one of his few number 1s

I loved TM back in the day, but if this track is anything to go by I’m not too excited about this album…s*** is boring and tired sounding…sounds like every other artist out there today doing that watered-down R&B. Rico Love’s stuff always sounds the same…a couple dif producers on an album, IF they can unify the overall sound and direction to make it cohesive, keeps it fresher IMO

  24. JAMIE January 17, 2012

    I love this song!!!!
We need R&B back. I’m so tired of seeing Beyonce and R****** being the only black women’s getting recognition.
