Watch : Lana Del Rey – ‘Without You (Live)’

Published: Thursday 23rd Feb 2012 by David

Following the success of her new LP ‘Born To Die‘, Lana Del Rey took to Hollywood’s Amoeba recently to thank fans for their support of both she and the project.

Indeed, seeing as actions do speak louder than words, the performer’s gratitude was showcased in a chilling rendition of ‘Without You‘,  a Kate Bush inspired number lifted from the LP.

Get into the show below…

What’s so cool about Lana’s music is its ‘complex simplicity’.

As is the case with ‘Off To The Races‘, ‘Blue Jeans’ and ‘National Anthem’, ‘You’ tells what really is a deep love story without being too overbearing on the mind, which is where the Kate Bush comparison stems from.

But what do you think?

Do you like ‘Without You’?

It’s not even the same style, stop comparing the two. Glad she didn’t turn out to be another Riri- all looks and 0 talent.

Why is it that some singers sing in the same tone/voice as if they are talking and others put on a voice?

    @ Rihanna

LOL! You couldn’t come for A Keys so u aimed Aguilera? I’m glad we both agree that Aguilera got WAY more talent than Riri. 😉

Love her, you can like beyonce, rihanna, lana, and Christina at once its not hard. Their all different but good in their lane.

She’s not similar to Kate Bush at all, I don’t know where in the world you got that idea from, I’m so baffled. If anyone HAS TO be compared to Kate Bush its Florence Welch. I’m surprised Kate Bush’s name has even been mentioned cos this site is great but its all current top 40 commercial music, which is fine, but just saying. Lana is brilliant though.

I absolutely love her! Her album is amazing! Her style is so unique and graceful and elegant. She has so much appeal! I would love to see her grow in the industry and do a classy feature with one of the leading rappers.

She SUCKS! That ‘voice’ she has is an affectation–she’s imitating, just like her image. BOO!

somebody get this girl a budget to work with and some stylists, so she can look like the girl in her videos,…one of the reasons i bought the album is to see her fresh look on the scene but she is giving me none of that

The album is great. And if she really contributes big way to the making of her songs then I´m here for her. i know she´s not an amazing live performer but she has talent for making music. Plus there are lots of performances that are not bad at all like this one. Please, Rihanna fans need to stick to her posts cos that girl has ZERO talent for everything, can´t sing well, can´t have an own style, can´t songwrite, can´t dance….
