Trayvon Martin: Hollywood Responds To ‘Not Guilty’ Judgement

Much to the dismay of his tightly knit family, last night saw a jury of six women find George Zimmerman ‘not guilty’ for the second degree murder and manslaughter of their son Trayvon Martin.

Now, in response to the startling decision not to find him guilty of what appeared to be an obvious crime, celebrities have taken to Jack Dorsey‘s social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts on the tragic matter.

Some of their comments below….

Azealia Banks: It is a very sad day. They ACTUALLY put Michael Vic in jail for killing some damn dogs, and they let Zimmerman free after killing an innocent child.

Elijah Blake: This is why I answer to only one Judge. One that cant be lied to, one who sees it all & at the end of the day I find Solace in GOD’s Justice.

Nicki Minaj: What are your thoughts? @BarackObama We’re allowed to disregard 911 operators, pursue and kill people now? But send Lauryn Hill to jail 4 TAXES … May God console the Martins at this time; as well as every other family that’s gone through this type of injustice.

Miguel: shame, reputation always gets the benefit of the doubt. harsh reality. #Trayvon.

Lupe Fiasco: Nobody knows what really happened except trayvon and Zimmerman. The justice system relies on reasonable doubt not our emotions. The case should have never been televised as the potential to antagonize US race relations was, in my dumb, opinion too risky & unnecessary.

Ciara: Whenever Some One Has Done Wrong, They Will Have To Face It. No Matter What. God Will Handle It. For There Is No Power Greater Than His.

Trey Songz: Can’t even gather words to express my hurt for Trayvon’s family. Devastated.

Rihanna: This is the saddest news ever!!! #whatsjustice #pray4theMartinFamily

Tamar Braxton: Going to bed. This has ruined my whole night. 🙁 #JusticeForTrayvon

Miley Cyrus: I feel sick. #RipTrayvonMartin

Russell Simmons: Prayers for the Martin family. … Only God knows what was on Zimmerman mind but the gun laws and stand your ground laws must change.

Kelly Rowland: #Disappointed. literally in tears right now, over the way a KILLER was found not guilty!!?KeepingTrayvon’s family in my prayers! In shock!

Omarion: SMH! #RipTrayvonMartin it’s sad how history continues to repeat itself. The ultimate judge [Jehovah God] will serve justice believe that!

K. Michelle: Get the fuck outta here… This is just pathetic.

Bridget Kelly: Race is an issue, but it’s not THE issue here. A child was murdered. A life was taken. And there is no justice served. Unacceptable.

The Game: I feel for his parents & family…… Lord knows my heart couldn’t hold the amount of pain they’re drowning in. #RIPTrayvonMartin

Lil’ Kim: #riptrayvonmartin Very sad. I just heard about the verdict. We need justice.

Christina Milian: Sad.. The Florida court system made a major fail. #RipTrayvonMartin #JusticeForTrayvon.. So unfortunate things like this happens everyday.

Wale: Lock a man away for dogfighting (which is wrong) for two years . But u can kill a. Child tho.

Hit-Boy: They care more about dogs for sure.

Melody Thornton: I want to have faith in our system but I can only honestly say I am so fucking angry that a life was lost and 1 spared in the wrong order.

      And who cares.

      • Matthew Charlery-Smith July 14, 2013

Obsessed stan HAS to find a way to bring in Beyonce…who has said nothing (yet) about the verdict.

      • XXX July 14, 2013

She has tastefully posted quote from Martin Luther King which reads ‘True peace is not merely the absence of tension, it is the presence of justice’ which I think is far more classy than mouthing off on twitter in caps lock and not doing anything about it.

      • SdotB July 14, 2013

@MATTHEW CHARLERY-SMITH, she may not have posted anything yet about the verdict…but she dedicated Whitney Houston’s song “I will always love you” to him when she sang it at her concert last night…

    • Songversationist July 14, 2013

I don’t want to be rude, but that’s all she can do. It’s not like she’s in tune with what goes on outside her own world to actually SPEAK about it.

      • Yaz July 14, 2013

    • Save it July 14, 2013

your name on here says it all, girl go sit down. no one cares what she dedicated, her name was no where in this article. doubtful she even knows who either trayvon or the fat mexican even are

  6. Krissy July 14, 2013

This makes me so mad. And people wonder why black people are so defensive? The system failed us ONCE AGAIN.

It would like to see someone shoot Zimmerman as he walked down the street. Unfortunately I can almost guarantee that person WOULD be convicted #FUCKEDUP

    • Krissy July 14, 2013

      I would*

  7. Baduizm05 July 14, 2013

I hope there is no violence or riots because that’s not what his family want or need. What good is screaming and hollering going to do? If you want change, I think someone should start a petition to have him tried in a federal court.

    • FAF July 14, 2013

Exactly bc during the LA riots, blacks destroyed their own neighborhoods we don’t need a repeat. Idk how he can still live where he does, he’s gonna have to move bc there’s gonna be MAJOR repercussions for this. . smh

  8. Lana Del Slay July 14, 2013

The thing that confuses me is how people can even question what he did. He really wanted to fight someone that day and he wasn’t going to be happy until he did. Imagine walking down a street KNOWING you don’t mean anybody any harm and then some random guy starts bothering you.

  9. JanetXone July 14, 2013

Nicki and Elijah said it best.

  10. rih rox July 14, 2013

    I go with Lupe fiasco.

  11. Jason July 14, 2013

Patti Labelle also dedicated “Walk Around Heaven” last night. Roland Martin tweeted video of it. I wish people would post about it.

  12. KellyKDL July 14, 2013

There’s no need for any more bloodshed, but I won’t say I’ll be sad If i heard he or someone close to him was brutally attacked. I’m sorry, but that’s the only way he’ll know what it feels like.

      LOL@ your name.

  15. rih rox July 14, 2013

Why is it a race issue? I just.don’t get.

    • Rosie July 14, 2013

Research shows that the stand your ground law in Florida is b******* and that if Zimmerman was black, there would be a much lesser chance of it being applied an him being found guilty, especially if Trayvon himself was white.

    • XXX July 14, 2013

Firstly, the fact that boy was killed because of a judgement based on the color of his skin. And everything @Rosie said.

    • MalikOnMyMind July 14, 2013

Because he followed him because he was black. Do you think he would have been followed if he had white skin, blonde hair and blue eyes?

The same thing would have happened if Trayvon was arab.

      • rih rox July 14, 2013

        Ok now i understand.

  16. Rosie July 14, 2013

This really is a tragedy and it just shows how far we still have to go. RIP Trayvon.

    • Ciara is everything July 14, 2013

Gurl stfu with yo hypocrite ass ive seen you throw racial slurs you need to check yourself

      • Rosie July 14, 2013

Receipts? The one time I was supposedly throwing racial slurs was a poser who didn’t even have the right avatar.

    • #Dirtylaundry July 14, 2013

      Starting with yourself.

  17. Ciara is everything July 14, 2013

Beyonce couldn’t say anything tho? The black community is outraged smh Ciara said it best tbh….

    • XXX July 14, 2013

Please this is not about who said what stop being so petty. She actually dedicated a performance to him anyway.

      • Ciara is everything July 14, 2013

No it actually is show support show you actually care for your people.

      • XXX July 14, 2013

So just because she didnt tweet anything means she doesnt care? The fact you are more focused on what Beyonce is doing anyway than the REAL issue here just shows how shallow you are.

      • XXX July 14, 2013

And like I said before she dedicated a performance to him.

    • Rosie July 14, 2013

Are you really bring your stan s*** into this? By the way she dedicated Halo to him last night at her tour.

      • Ciara is everything July 14, 2013

Well i don’t stalk her tour so i wouldn’t know but if she did then i take back my statement.

      • MuiMui July 14, 2013

That was nice of Beyonce to do,Hi5 to Her.

  18. Bad bxxch h*town July 14, 2013

I knew this would happen because the prosecution didn’t prove their case. But it stings because an unarmed teens life was lost for no apparent reason. Then the media tried to paint Trayvon as a thug because he has pictures of him smoking weed and putting up his middle finger. Last time I checked, so does Miley Cyrus. Is she a thug? This is just sad all around.

  19. MC July 14, 2013

I expected Florida to f*** it up once again but the simple fact that he waked away scott free and was handed his gun back, the simple fact that the dead boy was found guilty of assault after his death and the simple fact that a life was cut short without anyone paying the price gets me aggravated.

In other news, a black woman in Florida was sentenced to 20 years in prison for firing worning shots at her abusive husband (no one was hurt).

    Florida, it’s glory:

    – Bush election mix – up
    – Casey Anthony
    – George Zimmerman

    God Bless Amerikkka.

    • bam bam July 14, 2013

You forgot about the female teacher that was sleeping with a student and didn’t go to jail because the judge said that she was too pretty….. S*** like this makes me ashamed to be a Floridian……..

      • MC July 14, 2013

It’s about damn time to drop Florida from the Union.

All the southern states can follow suit.

  20. Godnika teas July 14, 2013

Sad day in America when you get more time for fighting dogs then you do for shooting down and killing a unarmed t***. 🙁 f*** the system. injustice in america

  21. PRINCE CARTER FENTY July 14, 2013

Sad day in America, RIP Cory Monteith, Kyle Massey from that’s so raven has cancer and Zimmerman is found not guilty. I really horpe everything gets better. I’m glad celebrities are showing their support. Also Beyonce performed Halo and dedicated it to Trayvon Martin. People that went said everyone was crying.

  22. Molly July 14, 2013

The system has always been corrupt im not surprised the guy walked away free if you haven’t noticed already this world is evil.

  23. Yo!! July 14, 2013

People, especially this generation still believe racism is a thing of the past.
This was such a disgusting misuse of the justice system.
My heart hurts for his family..
Please don’t start that stupid ass Stan s***, wrong post for it.
@Ciara Is everything…She had a moment of silence and performed I will always love you in his honor so shut up and grow up. This isn’t about oh my fave tweeted, and what they said was better. This is much bigger than that.

  24. Molly July 14, 2013

But tbh the media is brainwashed yall only feel this emotional towards the situation because it was on tv n***** getting killed everyday yet people dont give two shits until the media reports us a humans need to do better My condolences go out to the family

    • BionicGlam July 14, 2013

What’s that got to do with the price of tea in China? I don’t need the media to tell me to be angry when one brother kills another because I know it’s wrong.
The REASON they made a big deal out of this is because this Zimmerman monster went out of his way to confront someone he had no business confronting.

When he knew he was losing the fight between them he shot him.
He PLANNED to shoot him as soon as he spotted him and that’s the only reason he was brave enough to confront him in the first place.

  25. OVODasher July 14, 2013

What Elijah said stuck with me.

  26. Tisha July 14, 2013

My Father used to say one of the worst crimes you could commit was being Black in America, that’s how this case makes me feel.

How does a young man with nothing in his pocket but skittles and an iced tea end up dead for walking down a public street and it’s ‘justifiable’? Stand your ground law? Any excuse to kill another black man I suppose.

Rip Trayvon and prayers to his family.

  27. fatusankoh July 14, 2013

bey said it all ask for prayer for Travan I am praying for him and the family too

  28. #Dirtylaundry July 14, 2013

Its funny to me how black people only come together when s*** like this happens & where were these celebs when over 70 people got shot in Chicago during 4th of July weekend? Nothing will Change after next week no one will be talking bout this.

    • BionicGlam July 14, 2013

It’s true, there should be more coverage given to ALL violence so we can come together as a society to end it. But what’s the alternative to what people are doing now? Ignoring the case because black people get killed everyday? People are mad because the crime was rare and random and they have every right to be.

      • FAF July 14, 2013

Agreed, but Chicago is notorious for those crimes they have hundreds of murders yearly so until the TRIALS, many horrific events don’t receive coverage because the news can not focus on murders 24/7 everywhere in the world so a lot of celebs don’t even hear about them

  29. rih rox July 14, 2013

I should be the leader of your country, elect me when I come to visit.

  30. JARED (WHITE DUDE) July 14, 2013

    Oh yes…

In 2013, ‘minorities’, within this country, are still being ‘slaughtered’ and walking free.

    1) Rodney King: The Police Officer’s who, more or less, decapitated his legs, for which left him virtually paralyzed, were found “NOT GUILTY” in spite of ‘substantial and sufficient video evidence’.

    2) Emmet Till: The Police Officer’s who murdered this young man were found “NOT GUILTY” in spite of ‘sufficient and substantial witness evidence’ by both ‘White & Black people alike.

    3) George Zimmerman: The prejudiced justice system, rooted within this country, repeats itself, once again and will continue to do so, as he too is found “NOT GUILTY”.

A teenage Boy would still be alive if George Zimmerman had done what the 911 operator told him to do. What a shame on his behalf that he gets to walk free whilst a young, innocent, man is gone forever.

I feel for his Family at this time.

“Home of the Brave & Land of the Free” – That is nothing more than just a patriotic myth.

  31. HONEYCHILDPLEASE July 14, 2013

    who is Trayvon Martin?

    • ENOUGH ONIKA (KMART QUEEN) July 14, 2013

If you’re asking just to through shade F*CK YOU!!! If you truly don’t know, please google it and refrain from stupid questions. This is obviously a sad situation, have respect.

      • Im going numb July 14, 2013

All he would have to do is read the article its obviously shade

    • L2l1480 July 14, 2013

Someone who’s life and death means more than yours.

    • HoneychildPlease July 14, 2013

WOW that is not me guys! Someone is trying to set me up! I would never say such trash about this young black kid who lost his life to s senseless act of violence…SMH

  32. NickiSaidDis July 14, 2013

Can we stop talking about what Beyonce did or didn’t say. I deadass don’t think she knows much about the case more less to have a real opinion or stance on it, so let’s leave her out of it.

  33. judge me July 14, 2013

i’d let a white knock zimmerman lights out. justice ‘d be served without further race conditions. i’d do it myself just to see the reaction. 😀

  34. JER July 14, 2013

This is a joke right? A guy was shot for being black and eating skittles and they had the nerve to try and play him up to be a thug as he defended his life. This was an open and shut case. If Wetback Zimmerman was a black man and shot a white girl GOOT LAWT THA DEATH PENALTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lord Jesus theyd be a lynchin!!!!!!!! Apparently its not a crime to kill a s**** i mean a black person in 2013.

  35. MalikOnMyMind July 14, 2013

Things like this make me mad because I can just tell Zimmerman hated Arabs too and it makes me mad because stereotypes aren’t always true.
I’m Irish myself but hearing how some of my friends speak about Zayn’s nationality in school opened my eyes to how bad racism still is and scares me because I wonder how hard it must be to be hunted down because of your race.

I can just tell that Zimmerman is one of those little d*** men who wishes he was white and is scared of other ethnicities.

  36. PYTFROMAL July 14, 2013

Bunch of BULL.Can’t believe this idiot got off. I was in tears yesterday when they said the verdict. Rest easy Trayvon.

  37. DOSSOME July 14, 2013

Sad news indeed…I agree with Lupe Fiasco & Russel Simmons realistic approachto the issue…It’s easy to sensationalize this issue & make trending topics on twitter but the justice system doesn’t work that way, sorry. If cases can’t be proven without reasonable doubt, then there’s no justifiable reason to lock someone up.Remember everyone’s innocent until proven otherwise. It is what it is and sadly most of these tweets are only showcasing ignorance

    • Yaz July 14, 2013

But it had been a black man shooting it would be a different story. Thats the issue. In the eyes of the sytem we all know it woulve been guilty until proven innocent.

      • Yaz July 14, 2013

        Had it*

  38. rih rox July 14, 2013

Looking at these bandwagon celebrities …..have they dedicated a song to the boy when he died? Why are they doing it now? What if the situation was different?

    • FentySoSnatched July 14, 2013

You want to sound funny but you actually look stupid.

  39. ENOUGH ONIKA (KMART QUEEN) July 14, 2013

I’m LIVID about this whole situation!!! Florida is the WORST state when it comes to law!! I hate them!!!! I’m so f*ckin angry right now. Let that have been a BLACK man he would’ve been in prison out the gate!!! Killing kids and getting to walk free??? Oh ok. God will handle it…I’m f*ckin done with this sh*t…

  40. MuiMui July 14, 2013

This is a sad moment in the lives of people everywhere.
This has caused a ground swell with many people all over, because it hit so close to home. The justice system is not just.
Just thank a lady fired a warning shot in her ceiling at her husband and got 20 years, a while ago, where is the justice, this make me so sad.

  41. Yaz July 14, 2013

So terrible. But the sad thing is its not going to change anything.

And i cant believe some people on here are more focused on what the celebs are doing smh.

  42. Meena July 14, 2013

Rest in peace Martin , I was so shocked to find out verdict , Real justice will come to him soon.

    • Meena July 14, 2013

      *Trayvon martin

      • Meena July 14, 2013

The same state that said not guilty to casey anthony

  43. Tisha July 14, 2013

Florida tho’… I mean if your freedom or justice comes down to the people of Florida making an intelligent decision you’re f*****.

Someone said it earlier. They awarded the Presidency to George Bush, they let Casey Anthoy go free, and now this.

I don’t care what the prosecution said, I don’t care what the defense said.

What I know is a man is on tape saying he’s sick of ‘f****** punks’ and ‘THEY always get away’. A man is told repeatedly by a 911 operator not to pursue the individual and when challenged as to why he followed changes his story. A man carrying a weapon for NO reason pursues a young man with NO weapon and follows him but uses the defense that he had to stand his ground to protect himself.

That’s b*******. That boy died because Zimmerman wanted to punish him and all the other black punks he was sick of seeing in his neighborhood.

    • Meena July 14, 2013

      Well said

    • JER July 14, 2013

SMH. Sorry to sound ignorant but I hope a black man follows a white girl around, assaults her and pins her to the ground and as she tries to get away and shoot the b**** in her chest. Then we’ll see what happens.

      • SLAYRIAH CAREY (TOUR DE FORCE) July 14, 2013

        That is not necessary.

      • JER July 14, 2013

I know sis but you know

  44. Beyawnce July 14, 2013

And they have the nerve to say racism is not around ,Its still around they just conceal it better .

  45. Im going numb July 14, 2013

Any of these celebs donate to trayvon fam tho? Any of these celebs write a song in remembrance of him? Zimmerman deserves to be locked up without a doubt about it i feel bad for Trayvons fam… & Tbh this is the reason i would never want to bring kids into this corrupt world.

  46. The Boy Toy July 14, 2013

It’s f***** up because a black woman is sitting in a FLORIDA prison for firing warning shots in the air. No one was injured or killed. But Zimmerman is free. They didn’t even arrest him initially! I feel really bad for Trayvons parents. What a f***** up “justice” system we have in America. The world hates black people.

  47. JER July 14, 2013

I’m still in shock. So basically, you are not guilty of killing young black men if you attack them and they defend themselves. SO MUCH EMPHASIS was put on the fact that Treyvon fought back FOR HIS LIFE. Literally that’s what made the case. The defense glossed over the FACT that George Zimmer stalked Teyvon, chased him, assaulted him, and inevitably shot him in the chest. They spun the entire case on the fact that Treyvon kicked and screamed and FOUGHT BACK FOR HIS LIFE as he was being assaulted. So what the American justice system is telling young black kids is that someone can stalk you, chase you, and assault you and that’s ok. Don’t fight back or the person can legally shoot you and never go to prison. I mean, Treyvon fought for his life against a man twice his size trying to kill him. How dare he!!?!?! What a thug n*****!!!!

  48. FAF July 14, 2013

They wanted to portray Rachel Jeantel as stupid and ignorant while she was on the stand trying to make it look like her story changed this happened over a yr & a half ago she can not remember every detail after being shaken over something like this. . . There will be more to come esp out of Florida (one of the most dangerous places to live, IMO)

    • Yaz July 14, 2013

      :'(

    • JER July 14, 2013

BTW did you see Mother performing in her sling? It had 3 costume changes as well. I. WAS. DYING when i saw the pictures

  49. Monstarebel July 14, 2013

Wheres the logic in this whole situation? like are people in Florida really that brain dead anyone with commons sense could see that George is guilty ugh….like this world is really disgusting. R.I.P Trayvon.

  50. Team Tasia July 14, 2013

Heartbreaking verdict. This grown man murdered a 17 year old who was armed with a can of Arizona and a bag of skittles. God bless the Martins and every family (including my own) who has to endure the pain of seeing their loved ones killer wall free.

    • JER July 14, 2013

LAWT don’t be black in America and be heavily armed with a taste of the rainbow and some sweet tea!!!!!!! Just don’t be black in America

  51. DOSSOME July 14, 2013

@The Boy Toy…Maybe that’s because there was sufficient evidence to prove the woman was firing warning shots in the air which is against the law and amounts to attempted murder which warrants a jail-term…I agree,FLORIDA has a bad reputation of the way they handle delicate cases & that’s sending a really bad message.

Guys, this is a MURDER case. How many instances have we heard of family of the victims through their lawyers opting to reduce murder cases to manslaughter even when they know Murder was committed? (Manslaughter attracts a jail term as little as 5 months in some states compared to 15yrs and beyond when one is convicted for murder) It’s all about evidence & as a black man,it’s sad that us blacks always get the short end of the stick..Criminal history also plays a big part..I’m livid too but as much as it hurts, the victim’s attorney(s) failed to argue their case

Victims attorneys? You mean the Florida State Prosecution??? lol sis…

    • XXX July 14, 2013

You need to stop just settling for it because its ‘the law’. That short little paragraph about blacks getting the ‘short end of the stick’ is the reason people are so outraged and it needs to change! Thats the whole issue.

  52. Kitty July 14, 2013

The Supreme Court has dismantled the Voter’s Right Act of 1965. It gives the 15 confederate states the right to turn anyone away from the polls at anytime for any reason without notice to the United States Justice Department. This just happened at the end of June 2013. This was a key element of the Civil Rights Movement. Now today George Zimmerman walks free after committing a senseless murder. Wake Up!! Stop turning up and twerking long enough to see that your world is changing with every intention of leaving your black ass behind. Please get a grip people!

AMEN. Mind I repost on my FB?

      • Kitty July 14, 2013

—- decades and many similar cases later —-

Troy Anthony Davis – EXECUTED September 21, 2011
    Trayvon Martin – February 26, 2012

    ….and it will continue on.

Now tell me that racism doesn’t exist. I dare a b**** to try IT.

  55. Brazilian Beyonce!!! July 14, 2013

  56. Lovebird (where’s the single heux?) July 14, 2013

    #RIPTreyvonMartin, justice was not served.

  57. DOSSOME July 14, 2013

Seems the common denominator here is FLORIDA.The reason i’d rather take the unpopular opinion is because we’ve done this before. An injustice is committed against our race & what do we do?We complain for a week and that’s it or we use dangerous means to air our grievances and end up making things worse than they already are.Do we need one more tragedy to act?Seriously,It’s not about trending an injustice on social media,it’s about getting your famous ass out there and help create awareness to push for laws that’ll eventually prevent one more tragedy from happening. The 7 yrs i lived and studied in Chicago was enough to realize that gun laws need to be reviewed,it’s alarming how many Americans own guns.Hope my country Kenya doesn’t go this unsafe route.

OK,Wait, from this post,it seems Miley Cyrus is the only white celebrity to tweet this 🙁 🙁 🙁 .God bless the “United” States of America

  58. DIGGER BEY July 14, 2013

I saw this coming. The prosecution dropped the ball! They failed to prove reasonable doubt. Everything from manslaughter to 2nd degree murder was evident but they fail to gather the facts. The Defense had facts and their witnesses broke the case. Especially the forensic guy. I was praying the six juors could get something out of the prosecution facts. But I knew it was going to be hard. If they would’ve focus on manslaughter more, the juors could’ve convicted his ass on that. Those six b****** could’ve got his ass on manslaughter. The only thing we don’t know is who threw the first punch. We do know George racially profiled Trayvon. He ignored the police call to not follow Tray. He continued to follow and then confronted him. Asking questions like he’s the fawkin police. A fight ensued an Trayvon ends up shot a killed! Self defense my ass! If Tray did throw the first punch, who wouldn’t?

    • BITCHE ARE A MESS July 14, 2013

WOw i actually agree with you on something! Well written too!

  59. DIGGER BEY July 14, 2013

If someone is following u constantly and u can’t get away. Stop and stand your ground! That was evident that was what Tray was doing. He was standing his ground. Those juros couldn’t at least went with the lesser charge of manslaughter. That’s the reason why his attorney wanted no blacks on the juror. His ass fought hard to bring back to white women, after they were cut. If the prosecution would’ve prep his friend Jintel better. That would’ve been the case. She was the last one to talk to Tray. She was the one who was on the phone when George caught up with Tray. That’s an A+ witness! I’m so fawkin pissed at the whole trial. Like Ice Cube said, they didn’t want to arrest George in the first place after the shooting. So u know they didn’t want to convict his ass.

  60. Omari July 14, 2013

Sickening. I just pray for his family. But justice is always served in the eyes of God.

  61. Tyler July 14, 2013

The fact that Beyonce acknowledge Trayvon was a nice gesture but damn! Stop talking about that. An unarmed boy was walking home, minding is own business, and was shot. As African Americans this case should be close to home for all of us. But people are over here worried about Beyonce. That’s our damn problem. This should be unifying us….not breaking us apart.

    #JUSTICE FOR TRAYVON
For Trayvon Martin, for his family, and for all parents who suffer the horror of burying a child, sign a petition to the Department of Justice

  62. BITCHE ARE A MESS July 14, 2013

Sadly dogs are worth more than a black mans life to most…RACISM had everything to do with it! Tray was racially profiled which led to his demise! Don’t tell me other wise! The trail was a mess, but they don’t care because we talking about BLACK LIFE!

  63. HoneychildPlease July 14, 2013

That person who commented before this post is not me!!WOW that is not me guys! Someone is trying to set me up! I would never say such trash about this young black kid who lost his life to s senseless act of violence…SMH

I am the one with the color green in my name!

May trayvon Martin rest in peace, and may his parents live in peace…

  64. Tisha July 14, 2013

To be honest I just don’t believe in the court system.

Do I think there should be anarchy and everyone in the streets? No.

But I also don’t believe the court systems work to actually seek justice. It’s all about who plays the game best, lawyers are just there to put on the best show. Most jurors don’t know anythin enough to make decisions that impact people’s lives.

It’s reported the jurors sent down a request asking the lawyers what wasmeant by the term manslaughter, the lawyers said they couldn’t answer in general terms but could answer specific questions. The jurors didn’t ask again.

To me I just have to believe A) the Jurors are idiots or B) they didn’t want to convict George because there’s no way to look at ANY of the reported information and claim he’s not guilty.

  65. Angela Wesley July 14, 2013

I had to turn off the Television fora while because
I was tired of CNN and HLN asking all of this
so-called legal experts about this case, and
their comments were the jurors were right in
their decision. I will never agree with this
verdict. I think Jamie Fox was the only
celebrity to speak out about this trial.

  66. POP ROYALTY [RUDE BOY] July 14, 2013

first of all when Zimmerman called 911 and said a kid looked suspisious the *911 told Zimmerman (to not) persue the kid) the police are on the way then Zimmerman said (n****** always getting away.) right there that showed Zimmerman was racist against blacks if (911 told him not to follow the kid) (why did he???) the answer is simple (He wanted to start trouble with the kid(do not follow means do not follow police are comeing) if he had done what 911 told him to do none of this would of happened!!!!!! also you heard on the tape some one scremeing saying help (it was not Zimmerman why would he be screaming he the one with the gun!!!! it was the kid screaming for help. Zimmerman you are guilty guilty guilty the kid had no weapon even if you and the kid had a fight (which I will say Zimmerman started you fight one on one he had no reason branishing his weapon .(just get your nose broke like a man in a fist fight)!!!! (THE GUN WAS NOT CALLED FOR) when you pull a gun out (YOUR INTENT IS TO KILL) the kid had no gun all he had was candy and a soda(this is so unfair if the kid was out causing trouble why did he stop at the store???? (HELLO)!!!! he was thirsty not a robber he could of robed the store if he was looking for trouble but he bought his items and left. ZIMMERMAN IS GUILTY guilty guilty guilty

  69. Brandys Starr July 14, 2013

I could see it coming. The way everything was set up. True justice will eventually be served. He thinks hes got away with it. He hasn’t.

  70. tera July 14, 2013

we get no justice fr these unjust judges !!!!!!!!!!!! what a shame

  71. NNG2011 July 15, 2013

We also have to blame the weak prosecution, and those who donated to Zimmerman’s defense fund, which gave him the funds to afford/retain his expensive defense team in which if it wasn’t for the donations he couldn’t afford the good defense team he had. It’s all about money and who could afford the best lawyers and attorneys, along with the element of racial profiling which set it all off.

  72. News Not Gossip July 15, 2013

  73. Joanthan Grant July 15, 2013

I find it troubling that so many black teens are killed each weekend in Chicago, and there are no marches, no demonstrations, etc.

This case merely goes to show the extreme racism of black people. You basically just want whites to be victims incapable of defending themselves against black crime. Travon Martin picked the wrong victim and lost.

  74. Joanthan Grant July 15, 2013

The very same people who cheered the OJ verdict and who said everyone must respect the system are now demonstrating against the Zimmerman verdict.

So many blacks are extreme racists, you make Bull Connor seem like Martin Luther King.
