With ‘Pour It Up’ now on its way to double Platinum seas, Rihanna has watched its EDM sister ‘Right Now’ begin its journey to the top this week, watching it sales push it even closer to Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40.
In its fourth week of release, the David Guetta piece rises 9 spots up to #52, after spending it last week at #63.
Just 12 spots away from impacting the Top 40, the song’s release comes after its predecessors ‘Diamonds‘ and ‘Stay‘ saw its combined sales surpass the 7 million mark worldwide, weeks after its supporting album ‘Unapologetic’ surpassed sales of 1 million in the US.
In other chart news, Ciara watches her slow jam ‘Body Party‘ extend its lead as the year’s highest charting R&B jam- with a new peak position of #22, while Elijah Blake’s ‘Vendetta‘ knocks on 2 million’s door after nabbing that many spins on Alexander Ljung‘s ‘SoundCloud’ and Salar Kamangar‘s YouTube.
Quite interestingly, it achieves this feat well before the lead single (‘XOX‘) from his debut album ‘Songs About Melody‘ impacts the Hot 100, on course to do so in the weeks that follow this one.
