Full story below…
Among this year’s most notable inductees are Beyonce‘s culture-shifting anthem ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’ and Taylor Swift‘s blockbuster album ‘1989,’ two of the few 21st-century recordings to earn the prestigious honor.
Elsewhere, classics from Chaka Khan‘s ‘Feel For You’, Ray Charles’ ‘Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music’ album, and The Go-Go’s also secured spots on the registry alongside broadcasts, soundtracks, and country staples.
The Registry now houses 700 recordings in total, all selected for their cultural, historical, and artistic significance.

Single Ladies is probably her best song in my opinion. That being said it does say “worship me” when you play it backwards. 🫠
IMO My Heart Still Beats from Survivor is her all-time best, followed by Disappear, and Me Myself And I.
Those are all really good too.
I like those as well. But, her overall best in my opinion would be “Irreplaceable”, “Love On Top”, “Superpower”, “Pray You Catch Me”, and my favorite of all, “Just For Fun.”
I confess liking songs sans her growls and intense vocals. 😄 I hate that she’s become THEE VERY THING she shamed in the Nasty Girl lyrics.
Single Ladies is prob her most iconic song. Best? Nah.
Her booty shakers are fun, but substance and nuance always trumps
For me her best tracks are Deja Vu, Virgos Groove, Plastic Off the Sofa, Party, Love on Top, 2 hands 2 heaven and Superpower.
I applaud you for making it through Déja-Vu! To me, It’s a bipolar manic episode in song form. 🥵
