The duo teamed up to cover Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s 1967 version of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ for Bolton’s new Motown homage album – ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough: Tribute Hitsville’.

As covers go, this was stellar!
Bolton, as ever, serves up butter-smooth vocals, sounding like a Soulful solo choir when showcasing the length, breadth, and depth of his legendary voice. Similarly, Rowland pleases in a way we’ve been hoping she would for some time. For, as lovers vocal of riffs and runs, it was great to hear her not shying away from the power embedded in her own voice (or playing it down for radio play). Instead, she embrace it here – delivering a titillating blend of adlibs and belting that make us even more excited for her new album ‘Talk A Good Game’. More tracks vocally produced like this, please, Kelly.

I think there voices went well with one another and they did there thing I like this version a lot.
The thing is…
People who slam Kelly’s talent negate the fact that she’s selected by great artists for collaborations quite often. Anyone with a good musical ear would recognize that the power, clarity and tone of Kelly is unrivaled by nearly every female singer out there.
As much as I enjoyed this I can’t really get excited because this is not her song. It’s a SHAME that after Kelly said she was going back to Motown with her new album she’s done a Motown track for someone else’s project and recorded ringtones pertaining to frozen water and oral stimulation. Nobody can tell me tis lady has good career direction.
Anyway, it’s good to hear her really singing. I just wish we could be reminded of that more than once a year.

Its so easy to spot dumb ppl these days, thanks to the internet… That said, everything about this song was Perfect!!! Its been on repeat since I heard it. Kudos to Michael Bolton for choosing Kelly Rowland. Perfect blend…and Kelly released them Vocals here too!!!

I have always said he has a lot of soul. I don’t know Kelly but they are all that and a king size bag of chips.
They took that song and made it their very own. Such an excellent performance and Ms Kelly, Ms.Thang has golden vocal cords. I have always loved Michael. I remember when he rocked it with Miss Patti and now he and Kelly Rowland.
I have heard others do it. Nobody did it like Marvin & Tammi, but these two are as close to perfect as it gets. I’ll be buying that CD. WAY TO GO MICHAEL & KELLY.
