Fresh from channelling her best Rihanna on Jimmy Kimmel last night, Miley Cyrus kept her promo game a’rolling today on Good Morning America.
The 20-year-old continued her “Urban” re-incarnation, serving up live renditions of current smash ‘We Can’t Stop’ and the will.i.am assisted ‘Fall Down’.

As inoffensive as the material is; are we the only ones who feel like Miss Cyrus is playing dress-up with this “re-branding”? It smells really inauthentic.

I have to agree, I’m actually feelin’ Nu Miley.., yeah it can be said that she’s finding herself atm through appropriation but I can’t be mad at her for that since she’s 20yrs old and therefore primed for experimentation. Is she the next RnB Queen? I highly doubt it, plus as a ‘popstar’ I doubt she’s treating it that serious anyway. I can get with her subtle foray into Urban territory though as her voice is distinctive enough to carry her identity into whatever music she makes.
Re: the above performance. I have to say I’m hella surprised at how good her voice actually is.., esp’ in the second verse and bridge leading into #WCS and the second chorus of #FallDown, she can clearly sing and clearly has some depth to her tone.
