‘True Blue’ performer Madonna has been sued by beauty and fashion company ‘Hard Candy‘ this month, doing so after accusing the icon of maliciously using their name to sell exercise DVDS and clothing.

The case claims the 55-year-old singer began selling her goods under the Hard Candy name in 2011 despite a previous rejection from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Federal court papers obtained by RadarOnline.com state: ”Defendants’ actions have caused and will cause Hard Candy, LLC irreparable harm for which money damages and other legal remedies are inadequate.
”Unless Defendants are restrained by this Court, Defendants will continue and/or expand the improper activities alleged in this Complaint and otherwise continue to cause great and irreparable harm and injury to Hard Candy, LLC.”
The lawsuit also targets Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary, but claims the ‘Material Girl’ singer is ”the driving force behind the infringing activity, taking credit herself for the initial selection and subsequent expansion.Hard Candy are seeking financial damages and for Madonna to stop using their name completely.
Her fresh legal drama comes six years after the singer released her eleventh studio album of the same name via Warner Bros, moving 100,000 units on its release date and going on to move a further 118,000 units before the end of its opening week.
The singer is yet to respond to the lawsuit.

I guess they gonna sued others brands named ‘Hard Candy’ as well. I think is really funny that there are lots of fresh news about Madonna and her new album, like new producers, the possible new single, but Thatgrapejuice only reports about this, which is pretty much irrelevant to me but wait till the album comes out, the hate campaing and the millions of post about how over she is, similar to what they are doing to Mariah now, any old commentator must remember how they treated her like s*** during the MDNA era, even with the success of the tour, but Beyonce and Janet are untouchable to them.
