Continuing on her in bid to be taken seriously as a “hip and happening” bad girl is Disney star Zendaya, the entertainer originally tapped to portray the late ‘Aaliyah’ in her ‘Lifetime‘ biopic.
Alas, while fellow children’s TV star Ariana Grande built her “cool” on stellar material and faultless vocals with relative ease, Ms. Coleman is still yet to find relevant footing on ground outside of Disney‘s front door.
The answer to her branding problem? Good music.
What she decided to do to score a few cool points?
A sorry scene below…
Here’s hoping the New Year sees Zendaya team up with writers and producers who can place her in a lane she feels comfortable in.
For, much like Selena Gomez, Coleman currently looks pretty uncomfortable (and at times desperate) playing dress up in looks and sounds tried and tested by artists more “convincing” than she is.
For let’s be real, the clip above was far more calculated than it was spontaneous.
She’s a cutie but Baking Soda? I’ll pass!!
so did she just leave the grocery store or were we to randomly believe she just had a box of baking soda around in the car? She is cute but in an adorable way. Who’s her demographic/audience? Can she sing?
Ariana Grande is not cool. Her Lolita image/image has been done before and her vocals have been put in question (unclear lyric, bad dictation)
I’m not sure about this chick but Ariana’s claim is mimicing Mariah. Neither well done, cool or original
