Fantasia’s Label Responds To Criticism Of Promotional Tour

Published: Friday 20th Aug 2010 by Trent

In addition to the mounting pressure being added by the media concerning her personal issues, Fantasia is now facing even more criticism. Several persons consider the singer’s decision to continue her planned promotional schedule for her new album, ‘Back To Me’, her way of benefiting from the increased negative publicity that she has been experiencing. However, the Senior Marketing VP of RCA Music Group, Carolyn Williams, has denied that such is the case. Check out what she had to say below:

“People think we beefed up all these TV commitments,” says Carolyn Williams, senior VP of marketing for RCA Music Group. Williams is referring to a label press release issued earlier detailing release-week appearances on “Good Morning America” (Aug. 24) and “Lopez Tonight” (Aug. 25), plus upcoming guest stints on “106 & Park” (Sept. 8), “Live! With Regis and Kelly” (Sept. 9) and “The Wendy Williams Show” (Sept. 10).

“Her search activity is probably at an all-time high, but these were already on the calendar,” Williams says. “There was talk of moving the album release date back, but this was Fantasia’s decision. She wanted to move forward, and we support her.” {Source}

i was VERY skeptical too at first. but then i thought maybe having all these things and performances to do is good, at least they will keep her busy and get her mind off the messy situation.

    either way, 8/24!

Yeah, I’m glad they didn’t move the album back once again! This will be a good way for her too overcome all the negativity, and heal herself through music, and her fans/audience! 8/24

It’s the same media tour Monica did. Fantasia has an album to sell. She better start charming people. J/RCA need better promotional people.

what negativities she needs to overcome?
from day one she knew what she was getting herself into..come on now, lets not blame the media..the media didnt put a gun to her head and told her to creep with a married man..
the media didnt tell her to fake a s****** attempt..she did all the s*** to herself..
yes the husband was an asshole for using fantasia for fame..
but shes a grown woman with a child, so i have zero sympathy when children are involve

but lets not blame the media

    hopefully she learns her lesson..

    I basically have two questions:
    1. What does one do when separated from a spouse? Is dating normal, out of the question, or a personal choice (seeing that media, who dictates to much of us our thoughts, doesnt leave us or things alone enough so that we can formulate an informed and personal opinion of things?

    2. Is it possible to “fall in love” with another even though you are in a relationship with someone else, which in a lot of cases is mere tolerance or dependency anyway?

Fantasia don’t worry about these tired ass people that sit home waiting for a blog to come on someone so they can say something stupid .like you said you are Doing You. To hell with fools move on if you don’t like her move on it baby . If she would of sat there you would of said that she is stupid for sitting herself down when she should be working you go away and if people like you don’t want to buy her cd than don’t sad ass people

You can please some people some of the time but never all the people all of the time. Look at the president, your boss, your mom/dad, children, church YOU…Life goes on. We live and we learn from our mistakes as well as our victories. Fantasia may have made some bad decisions, as well as everyone else. The question is what did you learn and are you willing to apply that to your life. She is a singer/entertainer and guess what she still has a fan base though some of you would banish her to the extreme dimensions of hell with little or no understanding of the full situation. She will gain and lose from this and things will balance. Fantasia keep on SINGING…. Do you.. there is only One you have to answer to that matters and He hasnt picked up the gavel just yet.

I feel bad for her. Once that supreme b*tch Nancy Grace, HLN tv personality starts in on you she won’t stop. That femiNAZI freak is like a dog with a bone or a b*tch in heat. I hope that her stay in the hospital and reason for going was legit. She is such a good young talent I would hate to see her shoved to the side like they have done Whitney! JMO folks.

What was the record label supposed to do, admit that they were in bad taste by exploiting this horrible situation for money?

Come on, people. We’re dealing with Hollywood here. EVERYTHING is a lie.
