Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and Pink are just a few of the names that joined millions across the globe in solidarity for the Women’s March.
Purposefully timed to take place the day after Donald Trump‘s inauguration as US President, the rallies sought to celebrate womanhood and remind of the glaring inequalities that are still a reality. The latter being a core focus of the campaign given Trump’s sexually charged and degrading comments about women.
Beyond lending their name to the cause, the ladies rolled up their sleeves and took part.

I would’ve love to have seen more minority female stars publicised at this march. Feminists are always peddled as white women young, middle aged, old, lesbian or Beyoncé and they always scream for the rights of their counterparts but nothing for minority unless they’re in developing countries, but unless I’m wrong nothing for western minority women

You know, this is great, they don’t need to do this, they’re rich, they could be somewhere in the world relaxing, instead they were there in the cold trying to do something good. Other female celebs should learn a thing or two from these brave ladies, you need to practice what you preach, actions speak louder than words.
