While many are accustomed to seeing Mariah Huq as part of the cast of reality hit ‘Married To Medicine,’ not as many are aware of the fact that she is the creator of show too.
A seasoned entrepreneur, it’s clear there’s more to the sassy star than gags and shade. And British charity Dress For Success agrees.
For, the institute (founded by fellow entrepreneur Juanita Ingram) recently awarded Huq the ‘Power of Women in Television & Media Award.’
That Grape Juice was on-hand for the presentation and caught up with Mariah shortly after. In our brief but sweet chat, she shares with TGJ her tips for being your best you.

During her acceptance speech, Huq shared many pearls of wisdom; notably saying:
“You don’t dress for the job you have, you dress for the job you want!”
Also among the other 17 honorees on the night was Beyonce‘s ‘Lemonade’ songwriter Carla Marie Williams who took home the Power Of Women In Music Award.
The gongs were handed out at the conjoining Power of Women Awards event; the purpose of which is to recognize and celebrate both women and organizations who diligently inspire and empower women to succeed in their respective fields.
