Keyshia Cole announced earlier this year that she had pencilled in an end of year release for her third studio album, which comes just a year after the release of her last ‘Just Like You’. With the album, titled ‘A Different Me’, now slated for a December release, it comes as little surprise that we’re starting to hear what Keyshia will be serving up.This new track, ‘Playa Cardz Right’, was initially featured on 2Pac’s 2006 collabo LP, yet is being given the single treatment for Keyshia’s release. Though a decent cut, I’m hoping it turns out to be little more than a buzz track – for Keyshia’s sake. With the likes of Beyonce, Ciara and Kanye release their latest efforts in the same window as her, there’s a strong likelihood Keyshia’s record could go largely unnoticed – especially with a lead track like this.

It’s not a new song. Keyshia made this song for the Pac’s Life album i remember so last year or in 2006…
I LOVE KEYSHIA! Her vocals are just as good, if not better than Beyonce’s. Once again, this guy gives his biased comments as it regards Beyonce and them because they gratned him a couple interviews. Sam, CUT IT OUT!
Keyshia Cole is a great singer/songwriter, and I have loved every song she has put out thus far. I am looking forward to her new material. She is a real woman, someone that I can relate, and plus she can sing the f*ck out of a song. You go girl! Bey betta be ready, cause Keyshia been bringing it, it just took the UK some time to catch up with the rest of the U.S.!
I have to agree with you on this. First off thanks for clarifying that the track is not in fact new (as some unknowledgeable bloggers write), it’s actually an old track that they’re putting on Keyshia’s album and releasing as a single. Though I would hope that she has better songs than this to put out. Though a decent song, I think they must be banking on the fact that is has Pac in it as a well to sell it. Other than that fact, there is no point in even mentioning this song when it comes to what’s going to be a hit or not.

I really believe this is a big mistake because Brandy, Monica, Beyonce, 50 cent, Kanye West are all coming with good albums. Why choose a single everybody has already heard this song like 2 years ago. I have never seen this before not a good move in my opinion.
