Once mum on topics related to her romantic life, ‘Unbreak My Heart’ hitmaker Toni Braxton has broken her silence about her relationship to music mogul Birdman (born Bryan Williams) in a big way.
The pair, who suffered a highly publicized breakup at the top of 2019 (as we reported here), have since reunited and are now ready to ring wedding bells.
Fans wondering when the eldest of the Braxton clan will be changing her last name to “Williams” will be surprised to know it’s set to be sooner than later.
More inside:
Taking to the “Rick and Sasha Morning Show” recently, Braxton revealed:
“We have been going back and forth on wedding dates,” said the 7X Grammy winner. “We had a great date but then it was getting too big, we didn’t want a big wedding. Then we said, ‘OK, we don’t want it too small.’ Then he said, ‘OK, let’s do the drive through.’ I’m like, ‘We are not doing a drive through. I’m not ordering fries after we get married, babe.’”
She concluded by adding:
“We’ve been trying to figure it out, but we are definitely gonna do it this year.”

As if that’s not enough to get tongues wagging, Toni confirmed her new album – the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Sex & Cigarettes’ – is set for an August 2020 release.
Kicked off by her recently released single ‘Do It’ (click here to listen), press play below (at the 2:10 mark) to hear her dish about the forthcoming project.
WORK!!!
I can’t fuckinq wait this woman lifts my soul with her music and personality
Label better do it right this time. Don’t put all the songs on YouTube as lyric videos and then release the album with only two unheard tracks. Toni deserves better!!
happy she’s putting out more music frequently. our legends deserve it. now i just need queen brandy to drop. ?
i love toni and her music, but this whole birdman shiz is… yea.
I love me some Toni but unfortunately it feels like this „relationship“ is a PR stunt to keep her name in the press with a will they/won’t they running story which will neatly play into Toni’s themes of love and relationships for her album. Hollywood is stank y’all and full of relationships of convenience.
Can’t wait for the album though ???
If that was the case, it would make sense of her to use someone of more relevance and can drum up some kind of buzz. This isn’t the late 90’s or 2000’s anymore. They’re are old friends trying to make it work.
Cheers to birdman and Toni on the engagement
