Im a massive fan of Beyonce but i have to admit the quality of Lady Gaga’s promos blow beyonce’s out the water.It just feels like more effort and care was taking in terms of the shot selecton, the relavance of the conversation, just everything. Im glad she’s raised the bar, hopefully the competition will give beyonce that extra drive to take it to another level, unfortunately the single cover for WRTW(girls) doesnt give me much confidence, it looks generic and mediocre but im sure the vid will be banging!!!

its not that i dont like beyonce’s tour dvd’s is just that i feel they always focs on the workaholic aspect of her character, he demanding things off people, complaining this isnt how she wants it etc and its not that flattering. Here in the Gaga video its feels far mor low key, shes speaking to the camera but not on a 1-1 basis,her friemds in the back and it feels informal like she really means it as opposed to a studio interview which is what yoy see in i am yours. Also i dint like that show because her voice was not on form, you could hear she had been suffering some sum form of illness. It shows in performances like sweet dreams.
The i am tour dvd, showed a bit mroe of the relxed side of beyonce but it my but i wanted more from that tour that tour. I think a lot of the arrangments were worse from beyocne experience for example crazy in love from beyonce experience was better than the i am version, the same applies to me myself and i and say my name. Songs like smash into you, ego and videophone i though diluted the quality of the tour, they dont carry much weight, they’re just pleasant. The ave maria bit felt a bit tacky to me, when she dresses up as bride.Also bigger songs like survivor and sweet dreams were left out. i sound like i hated it but it was really good (8/10) but i know she is capable of more if she was a bit tougher on the song sleectionand picked the best songs but i guess it just depends on what songs you like. I dont like naughty girl, ok but not something i would listen to in my free time
