Olivia Rodrigo is getting candid.
After rising to prominence thanks to her hit songs ‘good 4 u,’ and ‘Drivers License,’ Rodrigo was catapulted to superstardom overnight. In a new interview with Vogue Singapore, the pop star got candid about the effects the industry has had on her mental health.
More details below…
When it comes to managing her mental health and the effects the industry has on it, she said:
“I’m taking it one step at a time. It can be really tough on your mental health, though. I’m grateful for the people who like me for me, and keep me separated from all the noise and tabloids or what people are saying about me on social media. That’s always been a top priority.”
“It’s funny how recognition changes everything and also changes nothing in your life. The problems I was having a year ago are still the problems I’m having now, and things that brought me joy a year ago are still the things that bring me joy now. It’s just another aspect of life that you need to learn how to deal with, but it doesn’t change who you are as a person.”
Elsewhere, Rodrigo goes on to describe her upbringing and the transition from acting to singing.
Over the past year, Rodrigo has seen huge success due to a string of successful singles and their parent album, ‘Sour,’ which is the longest-running #1 for a female album this year (as we reported here).

She’s clearly delusional if she believed FAME would be easy. Has she not been paying attention to all the f*ckery going on in Hollyweird or the number of celebrities who turned to drugs? Does she not notice the shade….the hate…the malice all over social media?
