Teyana Taylor may have sent her fans into an uproar last year with the announcement that she was set to retire from making music, but she later surprised them with news she wouldn’t hang up her mic until she hit the road one last time.
That North American jaunt – ‘The Last Rose Petal…Farewell Tour’ – may have just kicked off November 7 but it has already seen Taylor temporarily say ‘farewell’ to the road thanks to an unexpected medical emergency.

Teyana was set to perform alongside fellow R&B divas Sevyn Streeter and Ari Lennox in Mashantucket, Connecticut, on Saturday (November 27), but was forced to cancel her appearance after being rushed to the hospital for exhaustion.
She took to Instagram Sunday morning (November 28) to give her dedicated fans an update.
“Thank you for being so understanding. Y’all know Petunia don’t miss no shows & most importantly, know I’ve been leaving it all on tha stage for a month straight 1000%. So I am really saddened to have not been able to do the same for you last night.”
Later in the post, she said:
“My team & I tried everything down to the very last second to get me out on that stage, but my body simply just gave out, which actually started a few days ago. SHUT DOWN, my body actually low key betrayed me cause ah b*tch was tryna get on that stage. Y’all know I’m with the sh*ts. Y’all have seen me with a broken foot and all types of other crazy sh*t but still got on that stage and bodied it… But honestly you have to listen to your body and know when to sit down; or it will definitely sit you down….. in the ER…”

She concluded the post by indicating she will ‘take the next few days off to recover’ and that fans needn’t worry as she’ll be rescheduling the Connecticut date soon.
