Another day, another Eminem record.
Already the best-selling digital artist in history, Em – who is also the only act to boast three Diamond-certified singles and three Diamond-certified albums – learned one of those RIAA-reigning sets, ‘Curtain Call,’ made history again on the Billboard 200 this week.
Details inside.
The updated Billboard 200 reveals ‘Curtain Call,’ the 49-year-old’s first greatest hits package that features his biggest smashes from 1999-2005 (i.e. ‘The Real Slim Shady,’ ‘My Name Is,’ ‘Stan,’ ‘Lose Yourself,’ ‘Cleanin’ Out My Closet’), sits at #35 in its 600th week of charting.
As if previously being listed in Billboard history books for the longest run of any Hip-Hop project ever wasn’t enough, the set extends its reign as the third longest-running compilation album of all time behind Journey‘s ‘Journey’s Greatest Hits’ (733 weeks) and Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s ‘Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits’ (610 weeks).
A more important callout is that ‘Curtain’ is the longest-running project by a solo artist ever, a feat extended this week as it became the first of that ilk to cross the 600-week threshold. Bruno Mars‘ ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans,’ which enjoyed its 592nd week of printing on this week’s Billboard 200, is the only other LP by a solo act in range of the 49-year-old (as of time reported).
The staying power of Eminem’s project is only bested by Pink Floyd‘s ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ (962 weeks), Bob Marley & the Wailers‘ ‘Legend‘ (751 weeks), Journey’s greatest hits, Metallica‘s ‘Metallica’ (680 weeks), and Creedence’s greatest hits.
It’s also worth noting the refreshed Billboard 200 shows ‘Curtain Call 2,’ the GRAMMY winner’s second greatest hits package that includes hits from his studio albums ‘Marshall Mathers LP 2,’ ‘Kamikaze, ‘Music to Be Murdered By,’ and more, is found at #33.

He’s the GOAT!!! Folks always try to discredit him…Detroit’s own
the legendary
Lets be real here. I love Em but he isnt the best rapper out there. Being white is literally one of the major reasons for his sky high success and he acknowledged that himself. Hiphop is black culture. Em was engineered and mentored by dr dre who happens to be black
Points made atleast for once tongue

Well he’s the best White rapper! Indeed! 💅🏾Talking about we need to give extra support to Black artists but never did the same to White rappers. This is what we called double standards 💁🏿
Eminem had his own style before he met Dre, he had mixtapes out there. Try again, weirdo.
Da only White rapper that Diva loves, besides Jack Harlow. He’s the next Eminem 💅🏾 It’s not easy for White rapper to survive in this Black dominate rapping industry. White rappers need to work extra hard than those Black rappers…
