Tina Knowles, mother of music megastar Beyonce, has had enough of critics weighing in on her daughter’s complexion.

While many of Bey’s fans – affectionately called the #Beyhive – are still swarming the net with praise about her jaw-dropping ensemble at the Saturday night premiere of her ‘Renaissance‘ concert film (November 25) , detractors have equaled their volume with criticisms about the diva including suggestions she uses bleaching products to lighten the appearance of her skin.
Taking to social media Tuesday (November 28), Tina hit back at the naysayers with a lengthy rant.
“Came across this [photo and video] today and decided to post it after seeing all of the stupid ignorant self, hating racist statements about her, lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair wanting to be white. She does a film, called the renaissance, where the whole theme is silver with silver hair, a silver carpet, and suggested silver attire and you bozos decide that she’s trying to be a white woman and is bleaching her skin? How sad is it that some of her own people continue the stupid narrative with hate and jealousy,” the 69-year-old told her 4 million followers on Instagram. “Duh, she wore silver hair to match her silver dress as a fashion statement clown. ALIEN Superstar duh! What’s really sad is that a white woman had the audacity to reach out to Neal Beyonces hairstylist she was from TMZ to say that the fans are saying that she wants to be white and she wanted to get a statement about it from Neal.”
Elsewhere in the post, Tina relayed TMZ’s attempt to get a statement from Bey’s hairstylist is what sent her over the edge.
“Well that made, my blood boil , that this white woman felt so entitled to discuss her blackness. What’s really most disappointing is that the some Black people yes you bozos that’s on social media. Lying and faking and acting like you’re so ignorant that you don’t understand That black women have worn platinum hair since the Etta James days. I just went and looked at all the beautiful talented black celebrities who have worn platinum hair and it has been just about everyone of them at one time or another. Are they all trying to be white? I am sick and tired of people attacking her. Every time she does something that she works her ass off for and is a statement of her work ethic , talent and resilience. Here you sad little haters come out the woodwork. Jealousy and racism , sexism , double standards , you perpetuate those things . Instead of celebrating a sister or just ignoring if you don’t like her. , I am sick of you losers. I know that she is going to be pissed at me for doing this, but I am fed up ! This girl minds her own business. She helps people whenever she can. She lifts up & promotes black women and underdogs at all times,” she said.
At writing, Bey has not spoken out about the criticism she’s received from the “haters.”
Whether she bleaches or not, she does look lighter in skin. Especially in these pics. Tina stick to the narrative of what people are talking about if you’re going to address it. All she banged on about was silver this, silver that nothing about her skin. However, we love you Bey!
Lighter skinned black people get lighter in the cooler months due to lack of sun. I know a lot of people just can’t wrap their mind around this concept unless they are light skinned themselves 🥴
It always baffles me that people don’t understand lighting. The lights were obviously very bright, plus the platinum hair makes her look even lighter. Beyonce has never giving me the feeling of wanting to look lighter let alone white. I am sure she tanned when she was in DC. Plus, the issue is mostly with people projecting their own insecurities on to her. Let the woman live.

She should probably learn to use punctuation in a better manner, but apparently, she’s not illiterate, which is more than we can say for her daughter.

The theme for the Renaissance era was chrome/silver, hence why she was dressed in all silver with a platinum blonde wig.
Beyonce is already a light skinned woman, and if she’s put against a silver background with flashing cameras and bright lights, she’s going to look even lighter. I thought that was common sense, but I guess not.
Mind you, these same people accusing Bey of trying to be white are probably also the same ones that claim Ice Spice’s pale, non black ass as ‘black’. Lol.
Well Mrs Tina is of Louisiana Creole heritage and they have a history of keeping their bloodline “pure” aka light as hell/passing. And they also felt like they were better than darker skinned black people. This is a historical fact, not an opinion. Now I’m not saying Tina or Beyonce has these beliefs but Bey has proudly represented that heritage. With that being said, Beyonce has always been light skinned. Mathew Knowles approached Tina Knowles thinking she was a white woman.
Idk why it’s so shocking that Beyonce is MIXED (or Half White/Creole) when she was BORN with a full head of NATURAL BLONDE SANDY hair and white European Features and Fair White Skin coupled with a full head of NATURAL BLONDE SANDY hair. 😭
I think due to the bronzer she consistently uses for performances and promotional appearances, people have a skewed impression of what her complexion actually is. So where she didnt wear it for this appearance because it would clash with her wig (which in itself exaggerated the effect) people were shocked and talking from a false impression. She has always been very fair. Lighting, makeup and season can effect her complexion. Its not rocket science. Just disappointed in the black community for their feeding into this narrative. Here we have one of our greatest icons who in recent years has been an advocate for blackness and we’re here suggesting that even she wants to be white. As Tina said absolute bozos.
So much goes into it… Lighting, make up, the wig not helping, being in the fall season with certainly lack of long exposure to the sun. She doesn’t give me that vibe. If you look at photos of her, her skin tone seems alwsys different.
Look at the Destiny Fulfilled album cover… she and Michelle appear almost as black as Kelly while they are both lighter.
Tina shouldn’t even address that kind of BS.

Bit# bleaches her skin. Also she needs to make sure her skin tone is even when she is bleaching it. Her knees and elbows are still black.
There’s nothing’s Beyoncé has to say or address about what her mother had said about all the negative comments especially coming from TMZ who is known for their racist comments towards certain people or who they promotes more or who agrees with what they speak. And then people wonder why she stopped doing interviews. Imagine having a miscarriage and then when you’re pregnant again the world saying you weren’t. That was so deranged. Beyonce is NOT the Kardashians. She didn’t have a pregnancy reality show. There was no reason to lie about being pregnant.
