The Braxton family sent their dedicated fan base into a frenzy with the unexpected report that they are bringing their beloved weTV reality series back to the airwaves after a nearly 4-year absence.

Viewer excitement is only bested by that of the sisters themselves as evidenced by a recent interview with legendary sister Toni Braxton who was spotted on the red carpet of the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 32nd annual OSCARs viewing party in West Hollywood on Sunday (March 10).

While there the R&B diva chatted it up with ET’s Cassie DiLaura to discuss the inspiration for reviving the reality show and so much more.

Dishing with DiLaura, Toni shared a few of the reasons she is looking forward to bringing ‘Braxton Family Values’ back.

“You know, it’s really important [because] we lost one of our sisters, she wanted us to do this show again, and we were hesitant at first,” Toni said about her late younger sibling Traci Braxton. “But we said, ‘We’re gonna do it for [her].'”

The interview happened just days before the 2-year anniversary of Traci’s March 12, 2022 death.

“What’s really important about doing our show is [telling] real stories about family,” Toni relayed. “And I think when people see our stories, maybe we can help them in having a loss in the family.”

What’s more, the GRAMMY-winning icon revealed the family is already hard-at-work filming.

“Everyone has had at loss in their families, and for us, it was our first and it’s been difficult to deal with,” Toni reflected after revealing “we just started shooting last week.” “But we’ve had so many people, so many fans, welcoming us, so that part helps us. I don’t think people realize how much they’re helping us.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Toni talked about those pesky rumors that she and on-and-off-again boyfriend Birdman had tied the knot.

“I’m not married,” she said before later sharing, “If I was married, trust me, I would want the whole world to know it.”
