Kehlani is using her platform to shed light on the ongoing conflict in Gaza – a crisis the GRAMMY nominee expressed staunch disappointment in her celebrity colleagues for remaining widely silent on.
“You can’t stop for a second and recognize that … nothing we do has a f—ing purpose without people and you can’t turn the f— around and reach back for people? You can’t speak? Disgusting,” she said about her industry peers in regard to the Israel-Hamas war in the emotional clip lifted to social media on Monday (May 27).
Proving she’s willing to back her words up with action, Lani followed her impassioned speech by announcing merchandise set to accompany her next single – the follow-up to ‘After Hours‘ – will see 100% of its proceeds disbursed to Operation Olive Branch, a “volunteer-powered grassroots collective effort” with the mission of “connecting with and amplifying Palestinian voices in an effort to support their critical needs.”

Due on digital shelves this week, the new single, ‘Next 2 U,’ had the announcement of its May 31 arrival accompanied by the unveiling of its official cover artwork photographed by Israel Riqueros.
Alongside the Dixson-produced song’s release, Kehlani showcased merchandise designed by a Palestinian artist and promised all the proceeds from the merch sales will be “distributed amongst Palestinian, Congolese & Sudanese families through Operation Olive Branch” who she praised for “doing incredible direct action work getting families out of Gaza, rebuilding homes of those who want to stay, & launching their Congo & Sudan branch.”
‘Next 2 U’ is expected to be the newest taste of the gems set to line her fourth studio album – the June 21-due ‘Crash.’
Did she talk about Sudan? I hate fake activism
Like do you really think you calling for a ceasefire is the answer? First who the f are you? And second if you really care about Palestinians why you never talk about them being used as human shields? There was a ceasefire on the 6th of October but H**** started a war killed 1200 people in one day and took hostages, 120+ are still there, for 8 months, young girls and women are being r**** by Islamists, do you think the war will stop while the hostages are still there and the Islamists are still in power to start more wars in the future? Like the amount of moral narcissists in America is f wild. 🤮🗑️
Youve swallowed propaganda and are running with it. The war never started on 7th Oct. That was just the latest escalation of the ongoing Israeli vs Palestinian conflict thats been going on for 80 years.
Israel has some of the most advanced military tech on the planet and their borders are well monitored. Yet somehow a large H**** force managed to pass the usually closely monitored border unnoticed and now conveniently Israel can claim justification for committing genocide. Its really just a carefully planned land grab. But you believe whatever the mainstream media tells you.
Furthermore responding to activism by saying well what about this other crisis is reductive. Would you respond to fundraising activity from by Cancer Research by saying well what about A*** and malaria?
Girl this conflict is the most publicised so of course its going to get more attention. However its still well intentioned and beneficial. So instead of naively dismissing it how about you recognize it as something positive whilst also doing your part to raise awareness about other crisis’s you feel need urgent attention?
Gurl stfu with your conspiracy theories, the world doesn’t revolve around your wishful thinking or your assumptions. People like you will always make up 💩 to fit their demonic narratives.
You probably think the US did 9.11 🤮
Beware the genocide apologists
