In a royal turn of events, Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj has joined Queen Bey and Queen of Rock Tina Turner in touring history books thanks to the out-of-this-world success of her latest global jaunt ‘Pink Friday 2 Tour.’

After a whirlwind, worldwide ride across three continents, the ‘Pink Friday 2 World Tour’ (nicknamed the ‘Gag City World Tour’) came to a close in historic fashion on October 11.

Before the kick off of its second North American leg the trek was already penciled in record books for being the highest-grossing female Rap tour of all time, but by the time the 12x GRAMMY nominee took her final bow she learned it ranked among the top 5 highest-grossing Rap tours ever.

Highest-Grossing Rap Tours (All Artists)

Drake – ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ ($320 Million)

Travis Scott – ‘Circus Maximus’ ($154 Million)

Kendrick Lamar – ‘The Big Steppers Tour’ ($110 Million)

Nicki Minaj – ‘Pink Friday 2 Tour’ ($108 Million)

As the Rap diva’s beloved fans (affectionately called #Barbz) celebrated the news above, reports surfaced that Minaj’s latest jaunt also landed in the top highest-grossing tours by a solo Black female act.

At writing, only 5 Black women can boast having grossed over $100 million in one tour: Nicki, Rihanna, Beyonce, Tina Turner, and SZA.

Although this news is stale, Congratulations Nicki!! She’s paved the way for new female rappers on another level, especially in comparison to past female rappers before her.

Megan Cardi Glorila Latto etc should be thanking Nicki. She may be petty but look where petty is now. She didn’t d*** ride or fangirl her way up either.

This is impressive so late in her career. The public tends to lose interest in rappers after the 2nd or 3rd album. Very few are ever able to sell out arenas at any point in their careers.

Still not a foundational AMERICAN black woman like Queens Tina Turner & Beyoncé. Bye IMMIGRANT. Dougla roach. Still the worst lazy performer who had to s**** an extra year of tour dates just to hit an accolade. 🤣

    Congratz to her.

IT REALLY DETERMINES HOW MUCH TICKETS ARE BEING PRICED.
SOME TICKETS FOR CERTAIN ARTISTS ARE REASONABLY PRICED, AND THEN THERE’S THE ARTISTS WHO WANTS TO CHARGE THE PRICES EQUATED WITH THAT OF 3 MONTHS’S RENT FOR 1 TICKET FOR 1 SHOW.
IT’S RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED. OTHERWISE, MICHAEL JACKSON’S TOURS FROM THE 1980’S-1990’S WOULD BE FEATURED ON THIS LIST AS WELL.
