Unlikely duo ROSÉ and Bruno Mars have found quite the smash in their duet ‘APT.’

Released October 18, the infectious bop exploded on social media (namely Tik Tok) in the days that followed its release – a warm welcome that helped hoist it to the top of the real-time sales and streaming charts of Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes.

With its inaugural sales tracking period behind it, ‘APT.’ is seeing just how that international commercial performance has translated into Stateside success on the Billboard Hot 100.

With a handsome combination of streaming, sales, and radio airplay in tow, ‘APT.’ found residence in the refreshed Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 – opening at #8 on the coveted tally.

The week’s most-streamed and top-selling female-led song, the impressive stats attached to the Cirkut-produced cut’s debut are nothing less than historic for both its performers.

For BlackPink star ROSÉ, ‘APT.’ not only comes as her first solo Hot 100 top 10 hit but also the first time a Korean female act has enjoyed a position as high on the all-genre chart by her lonesome.

Among all solo Korean performers, she joins BTS stars Jimin (one top 10 hit), Jung Kook (three top 10 hits), and PSY (two top 10 hits).

For Mars, ‘APT.’ marks his milestone 20th top 10 hit – a triumph that helps him zoom past The Weeknd to have the most top 10 hits this century among male vocalists of color.

Among all male singers, Bruno follows Michael Jackson (30), Elton John (29), Stevie Wonder (28), Justin Bieber (26), Elvis Presley (25), and Paul McCartney (23).
