Tyler, the Creator fans apparently couldn’t wait to get their hands and ears on his new album ‘Chromakopia.’
Released October 28, the star-studded set – which features guest appearances from Sexyy Red, GloRilla, Playboi Carti, Doechii, Lil Wayne, and more – comes as the long-awaited follow-up to 2021’s chart-topping ‘Call Me If You Get Lost.’
And if industry analyst predictions are anything to judge by, the project – despite having an abbreviated inaugural sales tracking period – is well on its way to topping the Billboard 200 with historic figures.
Tyler, the Creator’s ‘Chromakopia’
Predicted First-Week Sales (SPS): 285,000 units
Billboard 200 Debut: #1
Bolstered by historic streams at Spotify, ‘Chromakopia’ is projected to debut at #1 on next week’s Billboard 200 thanks to total first-week figures north of 285,000.
If the prediction comes true the set will premiere to the biggest opening sales of any Rap album released in 2024, besting the 281,000 captured by Eminem‘s July-released ‘Death of Slim Shady.’
What’s more, the numbers will mark a personal milestone for the rapper (born Tyler Gregory Okonma) as his biggest first-week sales yet.
Its predecessors – 2021’s ‘Lost’ and 2019’s ‘IGOR‘ – both topped the Billboard 200 with sales of 169,000 and 165,000 units respectively.
The official Billboard report on where Okonma will land drops on Sunday (November 3).
