Each to their own i guess. But ain’t no way in hell I Am is her best album. It’s generic trash. Her attempt to crossover and gain wider appeal after B Day nearly flopped before Irreplaceable saved the day.

I Am was a simp album. No integrity. It was a commercial exercise. A folk rock/pop cd and a pop rnb cd. Mindless cynicism.

But if you ain’t after depth or nuance in your music then i can understand why you’d vibe with it and not vibe with her later work thats less about ass shaking girl power anthems and more about lifes trials and tribulations. But critically it was her lowest rated solo album to.

4 onwards she has been killing it. Pure artistic growth and commitment to her craft.
