Nearly three decades after Lil Kim changed female Rap forever with her iconic debut album ‘Hard Core,’ the Queen Bee has fans buzzing with news she will salute the 30th anniversary of the project with a one-night only special event.
Taking to press on Friday (August 21), Kim revealed a special hometown show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre is in the works to commemorate the 30th anniversary of her debut LP (released November 12, 1996).
Readying reimagined versions of its tracks like ‘No Time,’ ‘Crush on You,’ ‘Not Tonight,’ and more with the all-Black symphony Phantom & The Illharmonic Orchestra, the concert – officially billed the ‘Hard Core Symphony’ – will take place on Thursday (November 19).
Produced by GPK Entertainment, the event is branded an “elevated immersive experience celebrating one of Hip-Hop’s defining albums and the female pioneer who helped change the culture.”
