‘I Don’t Do Drugs’ hitmaker Doja Cat recently revealed the fan-favorite track from her blockbuster ‘Planet HER‘ album wasn’t exactly the best representation of her experiences with certain substances in a past life.

Taking time from preparing for the October 1 launch of the North American leg of her hotly selling ‘Tour Ma Vie Tour‘ with Latto, Doja (born Amala Dlamini) took to Tik Tok with a surprising confession on Monday (August 31)

Admitting she “struggled” with cocaine abuse nearly a decade ago, the Rap diva also waxed honest about the pressures of fame, social media culture, and how the two have impacted her existent mental health issues.

“…I have struggled with cocaine…could’ve been about 8 years ago, but I’m well past that now. Thank God,” she shared in the clip above before discussing her battles with mental illness and pleading with social media critics to be kinder.

In a separate video (seen below), Dlamini not only spoke directly to detractors who believe her music is “evil” and “demonic” but also opened up about her journey with alcholism.

“…[I] used the Internet as a means of validation to the negative thoughts in my head which were then brought on by drinking alcohol. I’ve never had a real problem with drugs except for weed, but alcohol is something that I’ve definitely had a problem with. I was never an alcoholic, but I definitely had problems,” she said.
