She may have nabbed a top 5 placement with her February 2019-released latest album, ‘Head Above Water,’ but Pop rocker Avril Lavigne‘s latest project hasn’t seen much buoyancy on the Billboard 200 since.

Despite quickly falling off the tally in the weeks following its release, Lavigne is looking to turn the tide on ‘Water’ by taking to Instagram to tease its reported next single:  ‘Dumb Blonde’ featuring rap queen Nicki Minaj.  Details inside:

With a Staples Center-hosted homegoing affair followed by a procession through the streets of Los Angeles, slain rapper Nipsey Hussle took his final victory lap today as documented by a live streamed memorial service broadcast on BET, ET, CBS, and more respectively.

As the outpour of grief continued among his longtime supporters, fellow celebrities (in attendance at the ceremony and beyond), and more, some fans opted to honor his memory by supporting his latest effort – ‘Victory Lap.’  Just days ago Billboard reported the sales of the project (in the wake of initial reports of his death) were so strong they hoisted the set to a #2 position on this week’s Billboard 200.

Now, refreshed sales figures increased by coverage of his memorial service could see him grasp the top spot from current tenant, Billie Eilish, on next week’s tally.

It’s been nearly two week since August Alsina dropped the video for his remix to Kehlani‘s ‘Nunya,’ but that hasn’t stopped fans from buzzing about its content.

The visual – which features an animated Alsina exchanging text messages with a mysterious woman named Koren – was believed by critics to address a longstanding rumor of an affair with Jada Pinkett-Smith.  The assertion is supported by reports that a) “Koren” is Jada’s middle name and b) when the singer coos the line, “You’re just an actress putting on a show,” a GIF of Jada appears on the screen.  Add to that, the 26-year-old’s reported absence from the Smith household as of late suggested there’d been a fallout of sorts.

Taking to his official Instagram handle recently, the crooner assured followers that not only are he and the actress on good terms, but the content was not aimed at her.  Hear it from him inside:

The tragic murder of Nipsey Hussle sent shockwaves through the music industry and beyond.

As investigators build their case against prime suspect Eric Holder, the rapper’s family, friends, and fans have assembled at the Staples Center in LA to say their final farewells to the MC and community leader.

Billed as a Celebration Of Life, tickets to the ceremony were made available for free online and were snapped up within hours.

After attendees say their goodbyes, the father of two will be interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

‘TGJ Replay’ is back!

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ segments, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest retrospective segment – a written quest, if you will, to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday.

Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.  This week we’ll simply press play on ‘Complex Simplicity’ – the critically acclaimed debut album of R&B songstress Teedra Moses.
