Mariah Carey has sent her beloved fans (affectionately called #Lambs) into a frenzy with the first official drop from her highly anticipated ‘Glitter‘ reissue.
The project, which served as the soundtrack of her 2001 film of the same name, was originally released in August 2001 but is being prepped for a 25th anniversary repackaging.
As an appetizer ahead of its Fall unveiling, Carey took to social media Thursday at midnight (August 20) to lift the lid on unexpected news about the commemorative effort – namely a tag-teamed effort with alternative R&B songstress Rochelle Jordan.
“The Glitter Anniversary Era begins!!! Here’s something fun I worked on with ROCHELLE JORDAN to whet your appetites while we wait for the album’s release on October 30. And yes, it will be back on streaming with some surprises,” she told her 24 million followers on Facebook.
Revamping ‘Didn’t Mean to Turn You On’ – a fan-favorite from the original tracklist – look inside to hear the remix magic she cooked up with Jordan.
Tyga isn’t letting the harsh criticism of industry tastemakers and peers make him abandon his latest album, the heavily A.I.-generated ‘$tarface.’
The project may have missed the Billboard 200 entirely upon its arrival in early August, but the GRAMMY nominee is still moving forward with promotion by rolling out yet another music video in its support.
Having already gifted the visual treatment to the LP’s housed cuts ‘Affection,’ ‘Gave U Racks,’ ‘Freezing,’ and ‘Just Us Tonight,’ now he’s adding ‘Last Forever’ to the mix.
“It feels right / In the light / Held tight / I hope this feeling lasts forever / Stay right here / I hope this feeling lasts forever / Always near,” he sing-raps over Nic Nac production.

When not racking up millions of replays from being stitched in content creators’ clips, superstars like Madonna and Rihanna have even made waves for miming the cut’s catchy lyrics on social media – a buzz that’s sent hype around it into the stratosphere.
Capitalizing on the momentum, Babe finally unveiled the song’s official music video on Tuesday (August 18).
“Now he wanna lick my bombaclaat, my ratatatata (He do) / Got him goin’ crazy for that poonananana (He is) / I get what I want, I got that, ooh, shalakalaka (I do) / He do what I say for that um-a-dahda-dahda (Dolly),” she raps over an infectious DanielWsp-produced chorus.
