Even with a bevy of Vine reinterpretations of its interesting music video, Drake‘s ‘Hotline Bling’ wasn’t hot enough to dethrone The Weeknd‘s reign at #1 as it has now clocked a 6th week atop the tally.

Indeed, fans of the Young Money rapper were sure ‘Bling’s accompanying visual would be just what the doctor ordered to land his very first #1 on the Hot 100.  However, as it was released to Apple Music (which does not report its numbers to Nielsen), the streaming figures did not offer the much needed assistance to make his career-long dream a reality.

As such, contrary to analyst predictions, the Weeknd clings to the tenancy of the top spot once again.  Well, that is, until next week when Adele‘s ‘Hello’ comes sweeping through with its official figures…

Strike while the iron is hot!

It’s a manta KeKe Palmer must be well-acquainted with, because the singer/actress is wasting no time capitalizing on the buzz radiating from her role on Ryan Murphy’s ‘Scream Queens.’

This week brought with it the video premiere for the 22-year-old’s new single ‘I Don’t Belong To You.’

Produced by London On Da Track, the song is the first taste of Palmer’s debut effort for new label Island Def Jam.

Signalling her return to the scene (after a brief stint as a talk show host), the rising star asserts her womanhood in the racy visual – which features cameos from Cassie and ‘Power”s Rotimi.

The sultry songstress appears with the producer on the cover as buzz builds for her sophomore album ‘Joyride.’

JoJo has unveiled the video for her haunting hymn, ‘Say Love.’

The emotional number, helmed by Harmony Samuels, is the second of the songbird’s “tringle” to receive the visual treatment. Click here to watch the first.

New music alert!

This time it’s from August Alsina who is gearing up for the release of ‘This Thing Called Life‘, his first album since her debut album ‘Testimony.’

Unfortunately, the album’s campaign has been slow to say the least and is yet to ignite the interest Alsina needs to reach safe commercial ground when the album drops.

With this in mind we hope its 2015 release is pushed to next year.
