It’s no secret that the Houston family is not on board with Angela Bassett‘s cinematic ode to the romance of pop icon Whitney Houston and her R&B bad boy ex-husband Bobby Brown.

Coming in the form of the biopic ‘Whitney,‘ airing Saturday, January 17th at 8/7c on Lifetime, anticipation for the film is reaching feverish pitch as barely a day separates viewers from it. But, if you were looking to see if the sentiment was shared in the Houston household, you got your answer today when Whitney’s former manager/sister-in-law Pat Houston took to Facebook to slam the movie and the channel (despite it once being their own reality show’s network).

After pointing out its shambolic, Wendy Williams’-produced ‘Aaliyah: Princess of R&B’ film as evidence, the businesswoman went on to urge fans of Houston to boycott the film.

Welcome back to TGJ Replay!

After taking to the press to announce he had broken up with singer Jordin Sparks last year, the entertainer has now blasted her for taking to the same outlets to share her side of the story this week, branding her a liar this morning.

For, after learning Sparks has claimed he had leased a car she says he claims to have bought, the ‘Talk Dirty‘ divo took to ‘Instagram’ to prove that her tale was more fiction than it was fact.

Together they created history and now it appears Lady GaGa and producer RedOne are creating new chapters in the their narrative.

Presently hard at work on the follow-up to her 2013 solo LP ‘ARTPOP’, Mother Monster shared a shot of herself in the studio with Red – much to the joy of her fervent fanbase.

Despite crafting smashes such as ‘Bad Romance’, ‘Just Dance’, and ‘Poker Face’, the duo haven’t worked together since the song ‘Judas’ on GaGa’s mega-selling, yet so-so received ‘Born This Way’ album.

Can the pair re-create the magic that dominated the Pop landscape? We sure hope so!

It’s arguable that Red is to GaGa what Quincy Jones was to Michael (the coach with ability to bring out the best in their talent). As such, fingers crossed they can come up with something that is distinctly “GaGa” with a fresh, compelling twist.

Oscar nominee Rita Ora shared this snap of herself on ‘Instagram’ minutes ago, striking a pose as she continues work on the roll out for ‘Doing It‘, her brand new jam with the ‘Fancy’ Charli XCX.

The photo was uploaded after the star learned she had become an Oscar nominated performer  and a BRIT Awards 2015 contender on the very same day, nabbing the enviable noms thanks to music she recorded the movie ‘Beyond the Lights‘ and her forthcoming US debut album.

The Brit Awards 2015 has unveiled its nominations tonight, revealing which acts have seen their work recognised by the organisation before the show’s February 25th due date.

Among the nominees are Pop superstar Beyonce and Brit belles FKA Twigs and Rita Ora. Unfortunately, ‘Who You Are’  belter Jessie J saw her work snubbed this year, locked out of the nominations party despite rocking the charts with her hit single ‘Bang Bang.‘
