The week’s King and Queen of the Billboard 200 are none other than J. Cole and Nicki Minaj.

While Cole sits at #1 with the highest opening-week sales for a male act this year thanks to his sixth studio album, ‘The Off-Season’ (as we reported here), Minaj is found at #2 courtesy of the surprise commercial release of her 2009 mixtape, ‘Beam Me Up Scotty.’

The impressive entries of both sets were not only accompanied with critical acclaim, but also reports of beaming into Billboard history books.

Justin Bieber fans (affectionately called #Beliebers) who are gearing up for the GRAMMY winner’s 52-date ‘Justice World Tour’ were recently given a taste of what they can expect via his live showing at the two-night season finale of ‘The Voice.’

Delivering a medley of hits found aboard his latest #1 album, ‘Justice,’ Bieber launched into a spirited showing of ‘Peaches’ and ‘Hold On’ – the latter of which was just certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of 500,000 in the United States alone.

Make no mistake; ‘Beautiful Mistakes’ – the latest single from Maroon 5 – is a bona fide hit.

A slow burner on the Billboard Hot 100 at its onset, the Megan The Stallion-assisted tune eventually galloped into the Hot 100’s top 20 – marking her sixth career visit to the chart region.

A rousing round of applause is exactly what Gwen Stefani and Saweetie got after they unveiled their first joint live performance of ‘Slow Clap,’ the latest single from Gwen’s forthcoming studio album.

Fans of the No Doubt frontwoman know ‘Clap’ is no stranger to the live circuit as Stefani’s delivered a number of solo renditions of the upbeat cut.  On Tuesday (May 25), however, she joined forces with Saweetie at ‘The Voice’ finale to render the inaugural televised performance of its remix.

J. Cole was crowned the king of this week’s Billboard 200 after his album ‘The Off-Season’ debuted at #1 with mammoth sales.

He also earned the honor of joining the elite list of names to chart four songs in the top 10 of the Hot 100 at once.

That isn’t halting his hustle, though.

The MC has unleashed the video for ‘Applying Pressure.’

Directed by Scott Lazer, the visual follows a like-titled documentary and the visual for ‘Amari.’
