The female Rap scene has seen the introduction of a wave of major names over the last decade. Artists like  Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and the City Girls have proven that they possess the lyrics, flow and aesthetic to back up their buzz.

Indeed their songs not only have us bopping in the car, but also have empowered many young women to be themselves… unapologetically.

After a lengthy drought and bewildering “one-at-a-time entrance policy,” the industry has been blessed with the emergence of so much talent unilaterally.

With all of this, there’s been an influx of new names making a splash – as well as a few that may have flown under the radar.

Don’t worry, though. We’ve got you covered.

‘P*ssy Talk,’ the Doja Cat-assisted single from City Girls, may have clawed its way onto the list of fan favorites from the Southern duo but that fanfare has not been reflected commercially as the cut has yet to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

To change the tide of the anthemic track (originally featured on Girls’ sophomore album ‘City on Lock’), the ladies enlisted the star power of three chart-topping gentlemen – Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, and labelmate Quavo (one-third of Migos).

The surprise announcement of the remix came Thursday (November 12), just two weeks after the song got its first televised live performance (click here to watch).

Will be the revamp be just what the chart doctor ordered?  Listen inside and tell us:

Ariana Grande is giving fans a look inside her presidential term in a new ‘Positions’ behind-the-scenes video.

The short, three-minute clip features the Pop singer walking her dogs in front of the makeshift White House, making a mess in the kitchen, and chatting with friends and family during her cabinet meeting.

In one scene her mother, Joan Grande, is seen making a speech at the presidential podium. During which, she says:

“We’re going to vote, we’re going to be safe, we’re going to stay calm.”

‘Positions’ is the first single from Grande’s album of the same name due out on October 30.

Much to the delight of her growing legion of fans, Doja Cat pulled double duty on late TV Monday night (October 19).

In addition to rocking ‘The Tonight Show’ alongside Bebe Rexha (as we reported here), the 25-year-old was spotted turning up with Ozuna to perform their joint hit, ‘Del Mar,’ on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

While Sia (who is featured on the song’s recorded version) was not on-hand for the performance, Doja and Ozuna certainly made do without her via their live adaptation of the tune’s aquatic music video.

Of the 14 songs that line The Weeknd‘s latest blockbuster album, ‘After Hours,’ 8 of them cracked the Hot 100’s top 20 (‘Alone Again,’ ‘Too Late,’ ‘Scared to Live,’ ‘Snowchild,’ ‘Heartless,’ ‘Blinding Lights,’ ‘After Hours (the song)’ and ‘In Your Eyes’).

As it relates to the latter (which has stalled at #16 to date), previous bids to push it into top 10 status on the tally has come via a cinematic video and a number of remixes including a critically acclaimed rendition with Doja Cat.

Now, The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) is taking another crack at it by enlisting fellow GRAMMY winner/legendary Jazz saxophonist Kenny G for the tune’s latest revamp.

Self-proclaimed ‘Queen of Da Souf’ Mulatto is making her royal presence felt in the new Reel Goats-directed music video for her song ‘In N Out.’

Found aboard her critically acclaimed debut album (courtesy of RCA Records), the rising rapstress tapped fellow Southern femcees City Girls to assist on the fiery track.

In the cinematic clip, Big Latto and friends shine light on the dating app BLK – a stamp the software’s parent company are elated about.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with one of this generation’s most powerful and dynamic voices to help bring this incredible music video to life,” said Jonathan Kirkland, Head of BLK’s Marketing & Branding

That Grape Juice editors may have mixed feelings about Doja Cat, but – as revealed by our annual award show review – we unanimously agreed she served one of the 2020 MTV VMA’s top performances.

Armed with elaborate costumes, eccentric staging, and high octane choreography, the 24-year-old – who also walked away with the night’s ‘Best New Artist’ honor – hit a home run with her inaugural showing at the ceremony.

Now, as fans are falling back in love with the ‘Hot Pink’ tunes she performed (‘Say So’ and ‘Like That’), Cat’s pounced on the opportunity to invite them into a behind the scenes view of all the action.

Curious to see how she prepped for her best and brightest on-stage moment to date?  Look inside:

Thanks to the enduring success of her first multiplatinum hit, the chart-topping ‘Say So’ (as we reported here), rapper Doja Cat saw the tune’s 2019-released parent album – ‘Hot Pink’ – crack the Billboard 200’s top 10 earlier this year.  In fact, the #9 peak is her highest rung reached on that tally to date.

To keep up the momentum of her relatively newfound success, the 24-year-old – fresh from her inaugural MTV VMA win as 2020’s ‘Best New Artist’ – has revealed she’s already put the finishing touches on ‘Pink’s follow-up.

Careful not to reveal the LP’s title or release date, she did suggest the opus (her third studio effort) may drop as a surprise.

Doja Cat is no stranger to headlines, but the latest wasn’t caused by her antics.

Instead, legendary rapper Nas dropped new single ‘Ultra Black’ last night and the track contained the lyrics:

“We going Ultra Black / Unapologetically Black / The opposite of Doja Cat.”

The veteran, of course, was referring to Doja reportedly making and supporting comments that many deemed ‘racist’ and ‘offensive’ (click here for details).

Now she’s responded. Her words below…
