Longtime Ciara fans may think her history with Britney Spears is only limited to the Pop icon’s 2009 ‘Circus Tour’ (where Cici served as the opening act), but the new mom-of-three (click here to read more) recently revealed they go back even further.

As we reported here, the 34-year-old is the host of Apple Music’s new ‘Level Up Radio’ – a series designed to examine R&B’s cultural impact and evolution.  When reflecting on her early experiences in the industry, she reported her breakthrough hit, 2004’s ‘Goodies,’ was almost a chart win for her ‘Baby One More Time’-singing label mate.

Ciara just gave birth to baby Win Harrison Wilson, but she’s not putting a pause on the flow of new music.

This week brought with it the release of ‘Rooted’ – CiCi’s new single featuring Ester Dean. And, much to the excitement of her C-Squad, the track arrived alongside its music video.

Ciara salutes the voices speaking up and out for racial equality on new release ‘Rooted (ft. Ester Dean).’

Arriving on the heels of the mass Black Lives Matter protests, the song and its accompanying video mirror the mantra – celebrating melanin in all its majestic marvel and magic.

Upon the unleashing of the visual moments ago, CiCI revealed that she shot the clip just two days before giving birth to her second son Win Harrison Wilson.

Ciara is about to become a mother of three!

Ahead of the birth of her second baby boy, the singer celebrates the beauty of pregnancy in the new issue of British Vogue.

Lensed by husband Russell Wilson, the spread also features the couple’s children Future Zahir and Sienna. 

Within the feature, CiCi opens up about overcoming hardships, her humble beginnings, the success of ‘Level Up,’ and the important role Wilson is playing as a man in the life of their kids.

As Ciara herself proclaimed, her hit, ‘Level Up,’ has proven itself ‘yummy’ indeed as consumption of the tune via streaming and digital downloads has given it just the boost needed to get to the RIAA’s Platinum level.

Released July 17, 2018, the song – lifted as the official lead single from her 7th studio album, ‘Beauty Marks’ – went on to make its mark on the Billboard Hot 100 by peaking at #59 (her highest placement since 2015’s ‘I Bet’).  Now, just two months after the announcement of its Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America, Cici can make room for yet another Platinum plaque on her wall.

Ciara kept the ‘Beauty Marks’ promotional party going today with a headlining slot on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series.

Backed by a troop of dancers, CiCi rocked Central Park with high-octane showings of several songs from the new LP – including ‘Level Up,’ ‘Set,’ and current single ‘Thinkin Bout You.’

The dynamite performer also blazed the stage with classic ‘Goodies.’

In being her own boss, it’s clear Mrs Wilson is making all the right strides now she has her career in her hands. She’s been hitting up all the scorching platforms of late.
