Michael and Prince. Janet and Madonna. Beyonce and Rihanna.

Historically, there are certain names that are consistently paired and often pit against each other in music.

One of the most notable groupings is Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.

Both were beacons of the late 90’s wave of blonde bombshells who would go on to blow all the way up in the early 00’s – carving out success narratives that still resonate today.

In recent years, their paths have taken very different courses – Xtina into TV and Spears to Las Vegas where her ‘Piece of Me’ residency has proven a hit.

Still, the latter surprised many given that Sin City “had-slash-has” a reputation for being the arena ageing acts go post chart relevancy.

Clearly, it’s a sentiment Aguilera’s manager Irving Azoff seems to subscribe to.

During an interview on Pauly Shore‘s podcast, the legendary industry force shot down suggestion that the ‘Your Body’ singer should embark on a Vegas run like Britney’s.

The reality of Danity Kane continues to unravel and it’s laced with all sorts of drama.

This week ex members Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex (who now go by the name Dumblonde), took aim at their former comrade Dawn Richard in an explosive interview on The Breakfast Club.

The Dance duo – whose new EP is due on September 25th – sunk their claws into Richard, spilling on their various clashes with her, including “the” punch that disbanded DK3 and her alleged rift with D. Woods.

Naturally, it was only a matter of time before Richard clapped back.

The fall out from the latest Danity Kane break-up continues.

As reported, Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex are pressing on as Dance duo Dumblonde – a journey which brought them to The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 this morning.

In a rare move, the ladies did not hold back.

Indeed, each – with detailed depth – shared their account of the group’s second split – which they say has its roots in dramas from a decade earlier.

Needless to say, it’s unlikely ex-bandmate Dawn Richard (who infamously punched O’Day in the head) will be any kind of pleased.

It’s rare that Tamar Braxton holds her tongue about any topic. However, it’s emerged that the R&B belle has been maintaining a silence of sorts surrounding her new album ‘Calling All Lovers.’

Originally set to hit stores on September 11th, the project has instead put up for pre-order on said day and a new release date of October 2nd was confirmed by retailers. New song ‘Catfish’ was then immediately serviced to digital outlets.

Well, according to Tamar, she only found out about the switch when everyone else did. Awkward.com.

Behold the beauty that is Nicki Minaj.

Hours before she takes to the MTV Video Music Awards to serve as it opening performer the rapper hit the Los Angeles party scene to celebrate the release of The Weeknd‘s new album ‘Beauty Behind the Madness.’

She was joined by her current boyfriend Meek Mill and rubbed shoulders with the likes of the rapper Tyga, the Reality TV royal Kylie Jenner and Joseline Hernandez of ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.’

Her sighting came after she learned that 71% of music industry executives believe it won’t be long before she sees the TIDAL streaming service trip, slip and fall out of the market this year.

Alas, the time the artist has spent to perfect the release has seen her come under fire from critics who argue that her departure from Def Jam and the threat of competition from the likes of Taylor Swift, Adele and Beyonce are the real reasons she’s yet to unleash the project.
