Yung Miami has had enough!

Hours after news broke that her City Girls groupmate, JT, was heard on leaked audio dissing their ‘Twerk’ co-star, Cardi B (as we first reported here), the 25-year-old broke her silence about the hoopla.

Initial response to the audio saw the fan bases of Cardi and Nicki Minaj – usually battling each other on social media – join forces to slam both the Girls on their respective social media handles.  The heat led Miami to lift a video in defense of the group to clarify any misconceptions from the faulty audio.  As if that wasn’t enough, she also “fired shots” at the press and named dropped outlets who she claims have been nothing but unsupportive of her meteoric rise to fame.

That jam peaked at #15 on the Hot 100, stands as the star’s strongest streaming launch for a single, and has since been certified Gold by the RIAA.

Can ‘Small Talk,’ which has thus far peaked at #81, maintain the momentum?

Spring 2019 saw Brandy and Monica‘s colossal duet, ‘The Boy is Mine,’ celebrate its 21st birthday.  Since its epic chart reign in 1998, the two as adults – jointly and separately in interviews over the years – may have reflected fondly on the song’s impact on the charts and their respective careers, but both acknowledge there was a rivalry between them fueled by outsiders.

As indicated in those numerous chats, the ladies agreed they never actually met before the tune’s creation and upon meeting were instantly at odds due to fan wars, constant pitting against each other, and murmurs from industry insiders.  Monica’s longtime producer, Dallas Austin, says that beef came to a head before their first live televised performance of the number at the 1998 MTV VMAs.  There, according to the hitmaker, “ghetto” Mo struck Bran in the face.

Ouch!  Hear it from his lips:
